[ QUOTE ]
An email I received today: "Mike, Your last transaction with NETELLER for $X was not requested from your bank account due to a processing error. We now accept money orders only to clear up the balance in your NETeller account. The balance remaining is $X. The money order information is as follows: Bank Draft, Certified Check or Money Order made payable to NT Services. Mail To:" I cashed out of Neteller early in the month and received the funds, so I am not waiting on anything more from them. I am tempted to write back and correct them that it wasnt taken from my bank bc of an error, but rather that it was an illegal transaction therefore they should just count there losses... I figure its a long shot but if I can get out of paying for the same reason they are not paying out those that they owe money too im cool with that. I have nothing to lose by trying to beat them at their own game. Thoughts? [/ QUOTE ] Send them a letter telling you that there is currently no valid way for them to withdraw from you, but that your lawyers are working on it. In the meantime, assure them that their money is safe with you! Suggest that they transfer the outstanding balance to a friendly service in another country, such as Epassporte. |

The email was a surprise because they are ultimately the ones who prevented themselves from obtaining those funds from me!? I authorized an EFT- I didn't click "send cashiers check later". They have the tools to process that transaction and if my money is that important to them then they should or should have processed it!
They are obviously blocked from ANY transactions with USA which is why they want me to jump hoops. Technicalities, yes. Am I going to refuse to pay them? Of course not. Its not about the money its a small amount .. Ill probably transfer stars money and work something out with someone. One considered response: "That deposit was for my transfer to xxxx, he said he will pay me back when neteller pays him, so I will send the money then." Anyways thanks for the posts! (most) |

I absolutely believe you should email them back and say:
"As soon as you find a way to start paying US customers and you actually pay them, I will happily pay my debt. Until then, I won't be sending a dime." IMO, a US customer sending them money right now is actually the wrong thing to do. If they pay out in a few months, then it becomes the right thing to do to send them their money at that point. |

Dear Neteller,
Due to a processing error, money orders are currently unavailable. I am currently accepting requests for payment only via electronic transfer. I will happily make an electronic transfer of funds to any account you designate. Sincerely, |

tell them that "you are extreamly limited in your abillity to transfer money for technical/legal reasons but that it is your highest priority to find a solution to this issue. You expact to have the payment completed in 6 to 8 weeks" then about the time they decide your insolvent and they will never get it, be a stand up guy and pay them. less whatever extra fee's you incured dues to this whole mess, thats what i'd do. You should e-mail them back and tell them that you will gladly pay them as soon as they process all pending EFTs and checks to American customers. [/ QUOTE ] |
