[ QUOTE ]
The buttons disappeared and my counter counted down until my hand is folded. [/ QUOTE ] This is the only thing over which I've been disappointed with WPX. I've had a number of these sorts of scenarios and wrote a fairly detailed email to support to see if they could figure out a) why I was timing out and b) why I wasn't getting protected on the timeouts. I even included hand numbers and spelled out commonalities. They never replied. The WPX staff is generally very responsive and helpful. Most times they are quite outstanding. They haven't been with software glitches. It was a disappointment not to get a reply. The only comfort I take is that to a certain extent the glitches and time outs happen randomly to others. Perhaps this is one of those things which kind of evens out in the end. If any of you wonder what sort of idiot raises UTG in a 30/60 game and then folds to a reraise, it isn't my fault. I'm getting disconnected. |

[/ QUOTE ] I definitely agree that it all evens out in the end and I am actually happy that it happened to me in the $10 tournament and not the other games I play but when it happens to me on the river with the nuts in a big 20/40 pot I will not be subscribing to the "it all evens out in the end" theory. I did not bother to email support about my hand (does anyone know where on your computer HHs are stored?) but I would hope that people who do email support about being folded unintentionally should have their money refunded. I hope even more that WSEX GM comes on this thread and tells us that the bug has been fixed but in the meantime proactive customer support could help aleviate the problem |

...when it happens to me on the river with the nuts in a big 20/40 pot I will not be subscribing to the "it all evens out in the end" theory. [/ QUOTE ] ...been there, done that. Once it was AK (in a 10/20). Another time it was top set (forget which game). Both winners. Yes, its painful. Perhaps I'm a sucker but I think WPX has earned a certain reservoir of good will. Yes, these incidents have demonstrably cost me money. On the other hand I've made over 21K in rakeback and hauled in a decent amount of aces cracked rewards. There's no malice behind balky software. Perhaps I've benefited from someone being folded out. The way I look at it is that I could turn myself into an indentured servant to Stars in the hope of making 40% of what is given to everyone and anyone at WPX. Though the benefit of rakeback diminishes in an absolute sense when moving up in limits, the absolute number is fairly stunning. I've not played enough hands at WPX to make Nova at Stars yet I get several times the ultimate benefit. [ QUOTE ] but I would hope that people who do email support about being folded unintentionally should have their money refunded [/ QUOTE ] I'd just like to see the problem fixed. I can stomach the short term loss, but would like that little sacrifice to bear fruit in terms of a tech investigation into why the system isn't working as it should. [ QUOTE ] but in the meantime proactive customer support could help aleviate the problem [/ QUOTE ] ...that's my hope. Part of the problem seems to be that these disconnects, time outs and sit outs don't happen to everyone. For several months I thought the complaints were nutty because I wasn't having problems. After the last major system upgrade everything was very stable. About a month ago it changed for no apparent reason and the site was close to unplayable for me. Anyway, fundamentally I'm very grateful to WPX for what they've done. Hopefully threads like this will bring attention to the issue that there are still technical irregularities at the site which may be keeping or have driven poker players/sports bettors away. |

Traffic obv. I would be quite happy if you put the rakeback to, say, 80% if this meant you could pull in more players and compete more fully with the bigger rooms. I know it's not that simple, though.
Also, I'd like HU NL tables (with correct blind structure). I understand why you might not want this but it shouldn't cause problems at a low limit. |

The only reason WSEx provides no-rake poker is because they hope the poker players will sports bet, too.
If we assume WSEx wins, say, 10% of the total amount bet on sports, on average, then, imo, this is where they could do some sort of deal with poker affiliates, who obviously aren't going to send players to them at the moment as the affiliates will receive no payment for their marketing efforts. If WSEx paid, say, 1% of all monies sports bet by their introduced players to the respective poker affiliates, this would encourage the affiliates to actively promote WSEx, immediately solving the marketing problem of attracting new players and thereby leading to both far more poker players on site, plus far more sports bet profit for WSEx for absolutely no prepaid outlay. In other words, everybody wins. (I don't know the correct percentage figures to use, but WSEx would, at the touch of a button.) |

What if their players don't bet on sports? Why would an affiliate send a player to WPX as opposed to Party/Full Tilt etc on a non rakeback deal where they are getting a much bigger cut (I assume so haven't done calcs)? The only way this deal works out is if they send a small time poker player who bets big on sports to the site. As an alternative I would be happy if WPX split the 100% rakeback 90/10 and made the 10% remain in the sportsbook for people to bet with. They can then use the profits from that to advertise for more poker players. I honestly think that once the site hits some sort of critical mass (ie 2000 players at peak) then it will take off. |

When WSEx acts like they actually want people there, then I might reconsider. [/ QUOTE ] Its really quite amusing (and sad) the effort WPEX is going to, to diswade people from playing there. |
