Brag: I got my MCAT results online last night

my friend's girlfriend didnt want to brag and tell us her score, but she said her lowset score on the 3 sections was a 12.
My roommate hates the world as he got 13 or 14(I dont remember) on the science, 12 or 13 on the writing and 7 on the other section, giving him a really high score, but since you need at least on 8 on every section he is screwed.

Also, "Science" is divided up into two sections, Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences. The "writing" part that receives a numerical score isn't really writing at all but verbal reasoning. Writing receives a letter score and doesn't really matter at all.

As some other posters have noted, having your school paid for by your girlfriend's family may turn out to be a HUGE beat, but good luck with that too....

FWIW, unless you have ambitions about being a high powered academic sort of guy, it really doesn't matter too much where you go. Your residency is a lot more important, and while there is a bit of a "legacy" halo at some programs, it's just not that big a deal. Pick out a place you'd like to live, where the students seem a bit less psychotic than the norm. And don't kill yourself midway thru your second year - it gets better in the spring.
