loved this movie,

2 things, i especially liked the lighthouse picture in the background (actual photograph) in Damon's apt that I have hanging in my apt.

2 - there was a TERRIBLE remake of Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb in this movie, I mean wow. Don't even try, you can't compare to PF.

Other than that, so great.

Using Gimme Shelter twice was weaksauce, even though I know Scorsese has a Stones fetish. The other Stones song was Moonlight Mile (I think). Maybe Dead Flowers.

DiCaprio was the best actor in this film.

Why would anyone think he is anything other than a tremendous actor? Because of Titanic? He's been great in everything he's ever done.

Great f-ckin' movie.

I saw the movie last night. I though it was AWESOME. Unfortunately, I went with this girl and some of her friends, and they said it SUCKED. Stupid women, really, I loved it. I think I'll have to go back and see it with people who will appreciate it.

I have a question as well though...might be a spoiler but, what was in the envelope the leonardo gave the psychisatrist? I feel stupid for not knowing

Now you know why Scorcese has never won an Academy Award and may may never win one.

For the record. I haven't seen Leo in much. I think, other than Titanic, I've seen GoNY, Aviator, and Catch me if You Can. I didn't like GoNY so I didn't give much credit to him. Same. With the other two it was a matter of just not being able to get past his role in Titanic. Maybe that is stupid. In fact I will admit it is, after seeing this movie.

He was the best one in this flick and was absolutely extraordinary.

I need to rewatch the aforementioned films apparantly to rejudge.

you should watch What's Eating Gilbert Grape, his other Oscar-nominated role.

in the movie there were two Rolling Stones songs played, Gimmie Shelter (twice) and another one that was very softly played in the background. I recognized Jagger's voice but didn't know the song. thanks

All of this information is in the rolling creds, something I have a strange habit of sitting through.

The Comfortably Numb remake was Van Morrison.

Van Morrison? Just thinking about it makes it hard not to chuckle.

Default Saw it today

Really enjoyed it. A slew of Oscar nominations for sure: for the movie, for Scorsese (and, I predict, a win), for Nicholson, for DiCaprio, and possibly for Damon and the woman (whose name I don't know).

I'm a sucker for Goodfellas, but this is right up there with it. It reminded me a bit of Heat, in that the Damon/DiCaprio characters were kind of mirror images in the way DiNiro/Pacino were in Heat. Also a bit of Donnie Brasco. The first few scenes, everybody in the theater oohs and aahs because, oh look, it's Leonardo DiCaprio, look it's Martin Sheen, look it's Alec Baldwin . . .

Nicholson is extremely funny, almost doing Marlon Brando doing Jack Nicholson.

The last shot (no pun intended) in the movie is wonderful.

It's definitely not a chick flick, but FWIW, Mrs. Fox loved it as well.

Don't miss it. Terrific entertainment.

In Matt Damon's first meeting w/ his unit and Baldwin, the interchange between Wahlberg and Baldwin is phenomenal. Both the writing and the timing.
