OSU
Auburn USC Michigan Florida West Virginia LSU Texas Louisville (without brohm) Georgia Btw, to the guy who said that Chad Henne having manningham AND breaston (he's not a good wide receiver) was a bonus....might have to take breaston's name off the list (yes, im a michigan fan)....he's an exceptional kick/punt return man, but a mediocre receiver at best...his main threat is the WR screen/swing pass |

damaniac,
[ QUOTE ] Wait, when did Nebraska become very good? Did I miss something? Are we back in 1995? Did that Alamo Bowl squeaker over 7-5 Michigan convince you? [/ QUOTE ] It depends on what you define very good as. The top 3 teams (USC, Auburn, OSU--which is very subjective IMO) are incredible, 4-10 range from great on into the very good range and 11-20 are very good teams. Nebraska is clearly a very good team. If you look at how many teams there actually are in this nation, to be in the top 15-20 (which is about their range right now, I see it going up as the year rolls on) means they are obviously better than more teams than teams that are better than them by a very large margin. Sure they didn't beat LSU but we are a few weeks into the season and how I refuse to take points off for not playing BCS contenders each of the first few weeks, that simply doesn't make sense. What does make sense is judging the play of each skill position, their overall play on both sides of the ball, and how they played in accordance to the competition. Well, Booty has been basically error-free and superb and their running backs have been splitting time at 7 yards a carry. The skill positions are the best around as usual. They are dominating both sides of the ball, the first half against Arizona has been the first time they have been below average all year. And as far as the competition goes, you argue Nebraska and Arkansas but those two games were tougher than the majority of the Top 10's overall already played schedule...and how they did, well they dominated. |

I think Auburn's conference and the silly SEC Title Game may prevent them from going undefeated... while USC and the twinkie Pac-10 will only help them.
OSU should coast until November 18th. Should be a fun season. |

while the pac10 isn't as strong as the SEC, it's not twinkie either. kudos to all the pac10 for playing a true round robin and scheduling hard out of conference match-ups.
SC played at Arkansas, Nebraska at home, and still has Notre Dame on their non-conference schedule. Add games verse Cal and Oregon, plus a solid corps of decent teams. Other than Stanford, the pac10 doesn't really have 'off' weeks. Tough not to respect it. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] they beat number 2 team, national champs, on the road. [/ QUOTE ] They beat a trumped up ranking, Vince Youngless + first year QB...don't make it out like they just knocked off some team that is a threat to a BCS game. If it weren't for their weak conference they wouldn't have a chance at a one of the non-BCS big bowls but we shall see. I am not knocking OSU by knocking UT, please understand this. [/ QUOTE ] Texas is still better than Nebraska, USCs best win [/ QUOTE ] We'll see about this Oct. 21. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] not who I'd vote for in an AP method not any ranking equation from what i've seen with my very own 2 eyes 1. Auburn 2. Ohio State 3. USC 4. LSU 5. Louisville 6. Texas 7. Florida 8. Michigan 9. Louisville 10 Georgia [/ QUOTE ] I think Michigan & Florida should be ahead of Texas & Louisville for sure. I'd argue ahead of LSU but that will all take care of itself in 2 weeks. I would put WVU in place of UGA as well. [/ QUOTE ] lol. [/ QUOTE ] what? |

The big difference is that I wouldn't even put Texas in the top 11-12 and this will be evident October 7th. [/ QUOTE ] You cant be serious? if OU cant stop uab, wash or oregon you think they will be able to stop Texas? |

Bluff Daddy,
[ QUOTE ] Loc: Texas [/ QUOTE ] Standard. Tell me why you think your team is so good? Colt McCoy? Just know that UAB and Oregon are in another stratosphere when comparing University of North Texas and Rice. Keep blowing out some of the worst teams in the entire nation, trump up your wins then knock a rival for barely losing--well actually getting [censored] with no lube is what happened--to a ranked team and winning a close game to a team known to play ranked teams close/tough every year. Yeah, that makes a ton of sense . EDIT: Oh I almost forgot, I can't wait for them to play Sam Houston St. this week...if only they could add Texas St. they would have the clean sweep and have played the worst teams in the state. |

There are far more "twinkies" in the SEC than there are in the Pac 10. |
