[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] *Bump* Any developments? I will be away from Friday morning until Monday night, so I'm hoping we can get the ball rolling as soon as possible. If a rookie draft was taking place I could leave a list, but as of last year we had no firm decision on how many players we would be rostering, and thus how many rounds/veteran cuts etc. [/ QUOTE ] cut 2 from roster, 4 round rookie/leftovers draft after iggy and mebenhoe draft from dissolved rosters. I'm on the most jacked up sleep schedule right now, making coordination of this stuff difficult. Stuff will be done over aim and should be pretty quick given the brevity compared to full roster draft. [/ QUOTE ] Sounds good. Is there any more thought about adding roster spots? We were discussing it at the end of last year, possibly adding 2-4 spots after the cutdowns. I am in strong favour. [/ QUOTE ] roster will be 20 up from 18 last year bugstud on stars is fine |

Does anyone have the draft order by chance? Was it 5,7,9,12,6,10,8,11,4,3,2,1?
I believe there were a couple trades too. I think Del's Drinkaz obtained O'Donoghue's Triad's first pick in the Eli/Daunte trade, and was there also a draft pick included in the Jamal Lewis / Cedric Benson transaction? Lastly, what about the draft picks of the teams that are being taken over? Seems like the most fair method could be to just include the draft picks of those teams in the small takeover redraft -- or maybe give one manager choice of pick in the team redraft, and the other the choice of pick in the rookie draft... For convenice, final standings: 1 Spanish Pantalones 2 Run Willis Run 3 Tinfoil Helmets 4 Warmongering Dillo 5 Bugstud 6 The Fun Bunch 7 Ron Mexico's Ho's 8 Del's Drinkaz 9 O'Donoghue's Triad 10 Berlin Bombers 11 GAMBOOOL 12 Custer's Brigade |

[ QUOTE ] start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 D free agnecy is normal, players go on waivers when dropped. [/ QUOTE ] MarkL: I have a confirmed player for the empty spot, if its 50$/entry. Active and committed, and I can send the money with my own fee. [/ QUOTE ] This works. Have him get with MEbenhoe ASAP!!! to draft their teams from that pool. |

Does anyone have the draft order by chance? Was it 5,7,9,12,6,10,8,11,4,3,2,1? [/ QUOTE ] this is the problem me and bugstud are having. yahoo saved the rosters, and also the results of the top 8 playoff teams, but not the bottom 4. we thought about just doing the first 4 picks in reverse order of record/points because we don't know what else to do. |

Did the bottom four teams play during the playoff weeks? I thought that weeks 15 and 16 there were games for the top 8 teams and the bottom 4 didn't play, but admittedly I didn't pay much attention to that. So are you saying the first four picks would go to the 12th team, 11th team, 10th team, then 9th team? It doesn't really affect me either way, considering I'm picking 9th no matter what, but the guys who did well in the consolation bracket (Ron Mexico's Ho's and especially Bugstud, who locked up Bush by winning) are really getting screwed. If they are fine with that, though, it'd be pretty hard for anyone else to complain.

[/ QUOTE ] well, the bottom 4 teams did play, but it wasn't shown on yahoo since the league was set a certain way. we were just going to keep track of it ourselves, but apparently we didnt (i expected yahoo to save scores for those teams at least). i could easily step in and make a draft order based on what we have available and what i think is most fair, or we could just go in reverse order of points scored or something like that. let's get some input on this. also we don't know where the new guys should pick. they can't pick where their team would have picked because one did very well and one did very poorly. i suggest putting them either at the end, or just ahead of the playoff teams. |

i suggest putting them either at the end, or just ahead of the playoff teams. [/ QUOTE ] not to make this harder on you, but I don't think we should be penalized for stepping in and helping out. My suggestion to bugstud was that the 2 new teams draft positions should be chosen randomly, with the rest of the teams filling in around them in the order that was specified last season. |

[ QUOTE ] i suggest putting them either at the end, or just ahead of the playoff teams. [/ QUOTE ] not to make this harder on you [/ QUOTE ] Yeah I definitely don't envy your position, Mark, sorry this has turned into such a clusterfuck. Anyway, if it's this messed up, why don't we just completely randomize it? Or if we're going for parity, perhaps an informed and unbiased third party on here would be willing to rank the twelve teams overall rosters (taking into consideration both the present and future value of players) and we could pick from worst to first? Just a couple more ideas... Personally, I think the most fair method possible (if that's the goal) would be to use the draft order that was originally decided upon, and just use either final standings or final points to rank teams 9-12, while -- I hope this makes sense -- including the rookie draft picks in the team redraft for the two new teams, so that they can decide themselves what those picks are worth. Edit - Though it'd be a slight pain in the balls, we could also rank teams 9-12 by looking at final rosters of those teams, calculating the fantasy points of all those team's players using the leagues format, and making the starters their best case scenario for that week... |
