[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Calling the guy an "idiot" is never a good move and just makes you look immature. I would just take the money...Vegas isn't going to be much fun if you're not 21 anyway. Its a blessing in disguise. [/ QUOTE ] I didn't call him an idiot. It's never wise to be rude when you are dealing with support. I basically told him that what he was saying isn't relevant to the promotion. I was very nice about the whole ordeal, as was he. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I told him he was an idiot. I'm in Canada it's legal and they never had a problem with it before when I was giving them tons of rake. So now they are offering me a full $1000 to shut me up. Do I take it? Ask for more? Demand they send me? Or rally something on 2+2? [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] I was summarizing what happened. I didn't actually say that. Well I did, but in a nicer way |

Do not enter contests to win trips to Vegas if you are < 21.
Nevada Gaming Law >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>> some random "pit boss" at an online site [ QUOTE ] I assumed there was a lot I could still do there and I was under the impression that I would bring my older brother who could do all those things. Also, I considered just giving it to a brother and a friend but the site said they would not allow me to do that. It's not illegal to go to Las Vegas if your under 21. [/ QUOTE ] If you would have asked the site if you could transfer the trip before you entered instead of just making a series of baseless assumptions, you would not have had this problem. As it stands now, I would just take whatever the site was willing to give you. |

So it's reasonable to think that I could go their without being 21. They said I could go, but in going it would compromise the integrity of their site. Or that it would promote underage gambling. So I think this is entirely their fault and if they want to cover their own asses it shouldn't be at my expense. |

No, it says WIN 50,000 in huge text on the site, not "win an all-expenses paid trip to Vegas"
[ QUOTE ] The final 25 (twenty five) ticket holders must attend the final event in order to qualify to claim any final event prize. If player(s) do not attend such event, their ticket will be forfeited. The Fortune Lounge group will reimburse players for the reasonable economy class flights of the player and 1 (one) partner to the final event. This amount will be reimbursed to the player via casino credits at the discretion of the Fortune Lounge group. Should the amount be insufficient, the outstanding fees will be for the players account. Airfares will only be reimbursed to players attending the final event. [/ QUOTE ] You are < 21. You wouldn't even be allowed to railbird at a casino. You can't even lean against a slot machine and ogle the hot cocktail waitresses, let alone attend this "final event". [ QUOTE ] I think this is entirely their fault and if they want to cover their own asses it shouldn't be at my expense. [/ QUOTE ] Take legal action. Oh wait, it is a nebulous online gaming site. Take their deal and move on. Oh, and don't play there anymore. |

Yes, they should have included more specific language about, "Hey minors. You know you have to be 21 in Vegas to just about anything, right? So don't participate in the promotion if you aren't 21."
You didn't see language about it in their T&C's but you could have used some common-sense and known ahead of time that there might be a conflict here. You could simply have asked them before participating in the promo if under 21 was okay to just win the trip to Vegas and you would have saved yourself a big headache. You had to know that something like this COULD have happened, right? |

I told him beforehand that I was 18 so I didn't know how much I could do there. He said, "you could still have a really good time." He didn't say anything about age conflict. Also, when a large portion of the site is under 21 they should know a conflict like this could arise and take the necessary precautions to avoid something like this. |

Okay, if they told you ahead of time that they would let you go and have a really good time then I believe you have a legitimate gripe.
Perhaps just try to milk more cash out of them for this situation. |
