Because you can make up for a downswing in one hand playing NL.

Or you can double that downswing in one hand.

As long as there is more than 2 players, the potential win of a single hand is always higher than the potential loss though .

Just another case of someone who feels entitled to a pot just because they were favored. If you can't handle it, then you should quit. I'm serious. You obviously have a lot to learn about poker.

My advice is to play limit poker to build u´re bankroll. The swings are much bigger in NL. Play limit and cool down!

[/ QUOTE ]

Completely false. The swings are bigger in limit.

Even for a losing player?

I used to say the same thing when reading these posts. After a two month downswing down 170BB's on 21,000 hands... Its pretty frustrating. Sets cracked to higher sets, fullhouses cracked to quads, hit my set on the river and hits someone's gutshot that had no business being there in the first place.

Its alot different when its happening to you. IT SUCKS!!! To answers any questions, I was a 2BB winner until 2 months ago.

To the OP, just gotta play through it. Get pokertracker if you don't have it, go over your stats, replay hands. But as Banks said, if you cant handle the beats...

bad beats happen to everyone. how do you think the best players in the world lose. study your initial betting habits and try changing it to a less aggressive manner. by doing this some of these pots will seem less attractive to your opponent to try to outright buy them. then when you get a monster you will get paid off

I'm hoping this is joke. If it isn't you should keep in mind that the goal of playing poker is not to avoid bad beats. Your goal should be to make money. Better opponents will give out fewer bad beats, but they also give away fewer chips. The games that are filled with donkeys, are the most profitable games to play in.

Have you sent an e-mail to the site's support e-mail? Maybe something is wrong with the shuffle.

You can't bet people out of the pot as easily at limit therefore bad players will stay in the pot for longer so you'll suffer more bad beats. More bad beats = greater variance.
