But more Blanco (after the inevitable suspension however long) sure doesn't help the Cubs chances in gaining any ground.

The last two NL champs were swept. I don't think that any of the NL teams this year have a legitimate shot at winning the World Series and I'd give 2 to 1 on the AL winning the series. The Cardinals don't want to become the Braves- much worse when it counts in the postseason compared to the regular season.

They weren't even the best team in their own division last year.
