Meh, they were outplayed pretty good in the first two games in Ottawa. I didn't feel that way at all about this game. The 3rd period was pretty even outside of the craziness of the last few minutes (almost when up 4-1 a couple of times), and they were only outshot by 4.

The only period the sabres were outplayed was the 1st. The 2nd was complete domination, and then the 3rd, once the sabres got a 2-goal lead they went into their defenseive shell. They allow lots of shots from the outside, but nothing quality. The SH goal was junk, but it happens. Personally I am not really impressed by carolina, I think Ottawa was by far a more dangerous and tougher opponent.

I don't believe in "jinxes" so I'm gonna be the 1st one to say it... go get in line for your cup tickets, b/c its gonna happen.

I agree, my biggest concern right now is injuries. Connolly and Kalinin is enough - now it looks like Numminen is out for the next game. Gotta call up some Janek kid who hasn't played in the NHL in two years.

Little over 4 hous till gametime. Its not looking good for Teppo as he didnt finish the morning skate. Currently hes a game time decision.

I have a grad school class tonight [img]/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] but I scored my bosses Slingbox to use for the game.

...only the 2nd time we havent scored 1st...

...we are due to lose tonights game...I dont see us taking back to back rounds and 1st 2 games....

...itll be close by I think the Canes will get this one

It's like the opposite of the usual - control the game territorily and give up the first goal. I'll take a tie game after 1 period though; the later the game stays tied the more the pressure mounts vs. Carolina. Oh and great camera work by OLN; couldn't even see the Sabres goal.

I noticed this as well. The camera went in front of the net because the cameraman thought the puck went back out to the blue line I guess. Also, for Emerick and Davidson, stop telling [censored] stories and just call the damn game. Jesus those guys are so annoying. I don't care if Chris Drury and Matt Cullen played on the US junior team back in '96. Just shut up.
