Clearly, he took his chips to the roulette wheel on the break. Got lucky once, then let it ride.

lol this feature table would suck
New ESPN Feature Table Lineup

A new lineup of players just moved onto the ESPN feature table:

Seat 1: Jeff "Mr. Rain" Banghart
Seat 2: Marco Mills
Seat 3: Gus Hansen
Seat 4: Daniel Alaei
Seat 5: Ayaz Mahmood
Seat 6: Brian Swanson
Seat 7: Paul Spitzberg
Seat 8: Senovio Ramirez III
Seat 9: Scotty Nguyen

Weak for something like HSP but for a donkfest like the main event this is a rough table draw

[/ QUOTE ]

How do they choose for the TV table at the ME?

[/ QUOTE ]

They look at all of the tables and decide which lineup would make for the best television (while trying to choose people who will probably go deep in the event and people with name recognition)

What is more likely to happen after this most recent break? Do you think the majority of players will realize that they have massive chipstacks relative to the blinds/antes and slow down? Or will they see the upcoming flat payout level, and decide to go nuts with steals/resteals?

So if you are some unknown (and not so good) player in there do you have the option to decline? It seems like they stack some (not all) of these TV tables pretty heavy.

Too many players left who have read a few tourney books about getting rolled over as the good players accumulate so expect fireworks. It's now playing like a 2/3 ring game at the bike. 6xBB PF raise standard.

You go where they put you baby. That hand againt Mineri must have been where Deb Blair got her chips. She seems like a pretty solid player.

Rottersod,

The table draws are still randomly determined. ESPN just picks the group of nine they want most.

They will continue playing fast because that's how all those guys on TV play.

[ QUOTE ]
With two limpers in the pot, Sorel "Imper1um" Mizzi raised 42,000. Both players called. The flop was {J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Mizzi bet 92,000. Ed Betlow raised to 200,000. Mizzi moved all in for 450,000 more. Betlow called. Mizzi showed {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. Betlow flipped over {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Mizzi was ahead. The turn was the {A-Clubs} and Betlow took the lead. The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Mizzi was eliminated.

This hand makes me want to cry. If I was Mizzi, I'd be punching a hole in my hotel room wall right now.

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't look closely at that one.

Wow.

Really makes you wonder if the reporting is accurate.

And to think I almost asked if anyone knew if the Betlow guy was any good, since he's now 5th in chips.

Perhaps someone should nickname him: Ed "Call High" Betlow.

(sorry)
