the rake at 1/2 6max is around 5BB/100

I don't know if the games are still soft enough for you to make 5BB/100 on top of that

Default Bobbo\'s Bible

Posting this in the cheese thread for kicks, but:
I finally submitted my book to Mason Malmuth. Wish me/it luck, as I have poured an extreme amount of time into it. It contains some original ideas as well as foundational concepts which (IMO!) are explained better by me then anyone else. He told me he'd look at it as a somewhat top of the priority list, which is very nice to hear/know, but any external pressure from 2p2ers surely wouldn't hurt my cause. I'm crossposting this, because, well, I'm pretty stoked about it.

I am allowed to play as small as .05/.10 limit (those players can't be good at all), but will need a winrate over 5BB/100 over 50k hands (I'll probably play a lot of 2-6 handed typically tring to play 3-4 handed as I think thats where I'm best

I would take the other side of this bet.

Oh, I started reading The Mathematics of Poker last night. Very, very interesting so far and I would say most of what I read applies more to NLH than any other game. If we could get a group to study this book that would be really cool.

I know this isn't the place to ask it necessarily, but does anyone know how big of a winrate is possible at micro LIMIT holdem? I know some of you come from limit so I figured I'd ask here.

Backstory if you want it: I have very little limit experience, but from the past 2 days I'm pretty sure I can beat 1/2 pretty handily. I said something about over 5BB/100 to a friend and he laughed at me (he comes from a limit backgrond and was pretty decent, HAL PHIPA on here, doens't post a lot, but you might have seen him around). I am allowed to play as small as .05/.10 limit (those players can't be good at all), but will need a winrate over 5BB/100 over 50k hands (I'll probably play a lot of 2-6 handed typically tring to play 3-4 handed as I think thats where I'm best, but I can play 10 handed if I want). He is thinking about laying me 5 to 1 on this bet for an amount that will likely be significant to both of us. I can obviously play higher and will likely win there (he's pretty sure I can beat 1/2 for over 2bb/100 already as I've played som 3/6 and 5/10 vs. him and was just discussing some 1/2 hands).

Beating the rake is going to be the tough part.
I think I ran at ~1bb/100 when I used to play 1/2 limit.

I wouldn't make the bet...
