Quite often, actually. It's gotta be this kind of board though, where they're thinking it's probably split, and they won't be bluffed out of the $4 that they have in there.

Here's another example:
Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 4 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $24.30
Hero (BB): $42.80
UTG: $16.80
BTN: $21.20

Preflop: Hero is dealt (4 Players)
UTG folds, BTN calls $0.25, SB folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $1.25</font>, BTN calls $1.00

Flop: ($2.60) (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $2.00</font>, BTN calls $2.00

Turn: ($6.60) (2 Players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

River: ($6.60) (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets all-in for $39.55</font>, BTN calls all-in for $17.95
Uncalled bet of $21.60 returned to Hero

Pot Size: $42.50 ($2 Rake)

BTN had (a straight Five to Nine) and LOST (-$21.20)
Hero had (a straight Seven to Jack) and WON (+$19.30)

Hahaha. Very nice. I'll toy with that the next time that situation comes up.

Feel free to transfer to manchild84 on Full Tilt when it works.
Edit:
It works well when you backdoor the nuts too, since its unexpected and looks like a bluff. (although these are perfect river cards too, which helps)

Two examples:
Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $25.30
BB: $33.86
Hero (UTG): $38.25
MP: $72.76
CO: $23.25
BTN: $45.85

Preflop: Hero is dealt (6 Players)
<font color="red">Hero raises to $1.00</font>, 2 folds, BTN calls $1.00, SB folds, BB calls $0.75

Flop: ($3.10) (3 Players)
BB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $2.00</font>, BTN calls $2.00, BB folds

Turn: ($7.10) (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $4.00</font>, BTN calls $4.00

River: ($15.10) (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets all-in for $31.25</font>, BTN calls $31.25

Pot Size: $77.60 ($3 Rake)

BTN had (two pairs, Aces and Tens) and LOST (-$38.25)
Hero had (a straight Ten to Ace) and WON (+$36.35)

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $35.15
BB: $106.76
Hero (UTG): $56.30
CO: $8.80
BTN: $34.15

Preflop: Hero is dealt (5 Players)
<font color="red">Hero raises to $1.00</font>, CO calls $1.00, BTN calls $1.00, 2 folds

Flop: ($3.35) (3 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $3.00</font>, CO folds, BTN calls $3.00

Turn: ($9.35) (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $7.00</font>, BTN calls $7.00

River: ($23.35) (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets all-in for $45.30</font>, BTN calls all-in for $23.15
Uncalled bet of $22.15 returned to Hero

Pot Size: $69.65 ($2 Rake)

BTN had (three of a kind, Tens) and LOST (-$34.15)
Hero had (a flush, Ace high) and WON (+$33.50)

Jesus christ, this happens to me all the time -- they float, I'm pretty sure it's a float, and I just flat call, waiting for them to hang themselves when a blank hits. Then a scary overcard that they likely have hits and it's a joke.

screw 100nl it destroys my smooth graph

[/ QUOTE ]

sorry to hear, except if it screws the good way.

Lets gogogogogo 100NL is only psychologically tougher because 100$ can buy twice as much as 50NL, but the level is not twice as hard physically...heuh...well, you get the meaning

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah it wasn't tougher, and I used to play 100nl, but I was just getting bad beats like all the time. There was this guy who would raise 8xbb every hand, but ofcourse my AQ allin vs his KT was no good... And it's always someone else who busts him .

LUCKY, I honestly think that site is rigged for shortstackers. No matter how good I get the money in they still have money in their accounts. Can't let the shorties go busto b/c it'd be too difficult for them to redeposit.
