So my 17 buy-in downswing at NL50 seems to have reached its end. Only 15 buy-ins to go. The problem is that after getting set after set cracked as well as losing big-time with AA-QQ for over a month I now can't get my game together. I'm feeling like I'm drunk or something. My reads are totally off and I feel like walking on thin ice.
So I have come up with this plan: <ul type="square">[*]Play about 10k hands of NL25 to get my confidence back up[*]Play at least 1 hour of NL10 HU every day[*]Return to NL50 with the intention of stepping up my aggression[/list]The last point is not really necessary for NL50 as my ABC style beats the game for enough PTBB/100 to grind it out get out of the red (All-in-all after 50k hands I'm only down a couple buy-ins and that includes learning time at the beginning). However, I have a healthy bankroll and would like to move up to NL100 soon and I feel that I need to open up my game more. This especially means spotting post-flop stealing situations. Thoughts? |

fiksdal,
u probably aren't playing well if you have 17 bi downswing. i have been there and it isn't fun. Nl50 is a place where i first learned to really tilt hard because the pot sizes were big enough for me to care. good luck. |

lolol.. I realize what happened but just fyi I would have quit poker a long time before actually being down 1y BIs at 50NL... My winrate over the last 11k hands at 50NL is like 6BB/100

It is me and not Fik with the 17 buy-in downswing.
I don't feel the need to explain this is all detail but I have analysed my play extensively and am quite confident that at least around 13 of the 17 were unavoidable. If you get set-over-set 12 out of the 20 or so times you flop a set and lose a bunch of 80/20 situations with big pairs 17 buy-ins is there pretty quickly. Of course it helps if you can offset the big losses with more small pots stolen, which is why I want to work on that. |

[ QUOTE ]
JESUS CHRIST everytime i hit 1k, i get doomswitched, everything goes well and whoppa, down 4 buyins. Due to rivered 2 pair vs my AA or runner runners. etc etc. Im not supersticious (however u wright that), but it has happened like 3 times now. Or maybe its something psychologically. [/ QUOTE ] i had the same thing happen to me with a 60$ BR. everytime i'd hit 60.01$+ something stupid would happen and i'd start losing sessions like it was my job. i swear i never had over 60 bucks for longer than 24 hours until this month. now im at 135$.
