What's worse...
The way the Cardinals have played losing 10 of their past 11 games. -OR- The NL Central, where the Cardinals are still in first place despite losing 10 of their past 11 games. -OR- The entire National League where the Cardinals have the 2nd best record despite losing 10 of their past 11 games. ?? |

For what it's worth, Rodney has been used in more important situations than Jones.

Obviously the Cards are slumping badly right now. Its one of the worst streaks in club history, if my memory and ESPN are to be trusted.
Given that, what does management need to do in terms of personnel, if anything? What are some realistic moves that they could pull off? |

Can't move Reyes or Wainwright IMO and I don't think the rest of the system has any real big time trading pieces. Mulder's trade value has got to be near worthless. They need to rest up over the break, get their heads out of their rears, and simply start playing better. Bottom line is they are not as bad as this recent streak indicates. They are still big favorites to make the playoffs and just need to take their chances from there. |

Added another bad picther in Weaver, maybe setting up a trade for Mulder (if anybody will take him).

They will get back on track, I guarantee it. There's no way their starting pitching can continue to be this bad, given their history of at least being average.

Well nothing like the Houston Astros "lack of" Offense to make the Cardinals starters look serviceable these last two games.
