[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] been thinking about getting Yang to sign with Full Tilt. [/ QUOTE ] You nailed the post until this quote. WWJD? [/ QUOTE ] You don't think FT wants to sign Yang? I'd bet that they've already approached him - doubt it will be a 10-year, $1M/year deal, though! [/ QUOTE ] do you think that is too much or too little? it seems like way too little to me if he just won the wsop and EVERY poker site wants to corner the asian market. |

EL D,
As someone who has worked in the industry your figures seem cool though i'd like to add that dealing is pretty easy which leads to a certain level of ignorance with regards to what one is told they are receiving and what one should take home. This seems to be the problem here imo. On a sie note, everyone should stop reading deans posts, listern to the rakes, rifles or the new young pony club. did i say deans a bitch and a disgrace to most english blokes. isnt this a big wind up for OP, surely you guys are taking the piss... |

[/ QUOTE ] FTP.net has "first and last rights of refusal" to offer Mr. Yang an endorsement deal. "First and last rights of refusal" is a standard practice for WSOP ME Final Table single-event endorsement arrangements. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks! Does "last right" means that FT can sign him if they match another deal? [/ QUOTE ] "First right of refusal": Jerry has to consider the first offer put on the table by FTP.net before he or his representative/agent can seek offers from other competitors. "Last rights of refusal": FTP.net has the right to match the best offer from a competitor. You will find "first and last rights of refusal" to be a common practice in endorsement and media rights contracts in the entertainment industry. I consider it to be "common sense", as one should have the courtesy to treat the company that was there for you the right way. |

The only term I've ever heard is "right of first refusal," and it means exactly what you defined as "last rights of refusal." But I'm a contract lawyer, not specifically an entertainment lawyer. The idea of being obligated to consider someone's offer in a vacuum without shopping it around is something that's never occurred to me (or my clients). I guess it's worth something. |

[ QUOTE ]
pkrporcupine likes her job and the pay, she said so 100s of times in this thread, yet in her OP she said: "Now I am not good at math without chips and cards infront of me but everything that goes into the toke pool must be shared between all dealers for that 11 days and going by CF's number that he stated in the payout room to Jerry means that we should only recieve $214 for 11 days of work? HMMM THAT DOESNT SOUND TO GOOD TO ME." "It Was very wrong of CF to state it in that manner because he was flat out MISLEADING [...] Of course i was PISSED, not that Jerry declined to tip but that CF was giving him great advice on everything else but was COMPLETELY wrong when it came to the dealers." L.M.F.A.O!!! Well, it actually doesnt matter if you ARE happy about your job and the pay (lol), but why post 100s of times here? You surely must be aware of the fact that it WOULDNT HAVE MATTERED (!!!), even IF CF would have said "only 65% of that (= roughly $100.000) goes to the dealers". Jerry still wouldnt have tipped more on top of that, that`s so f-ing obvious!!!!!! What is the POINT OF YOUR POST? Your pathetic attempt to make everyone here hate CF for giving that "COMPLETELY MISLEADING" adivce is ridiculous, cause that`s the only thing you wanted achieve with your posts. Back to psychology-class, noob! You are a F-ING HATER, that`s all, as seen in your Phil H. thread! Get a life and stop badmouthing people who are in the spotlight, you are ridiculous to a point where it`s not even funny anymore and you know it!!! My best advice to you: stop dealing poker and get a job at some celeb-bashing magazine, I bet your attitude would make you CEO within months... [/ QUOTE ] Who is the "bashing " hater here? nice to meet you too. I have never "bashed" CF, called him names and such and I challenge all of you to find a post of mine in this or any forum that I have done any of these things to his character or stated his intentions. I NEVER said that CF INTENTIONALLY left out the rest of the facts to sway JY to stiff the dealers. I simply did not like what he said. I love how you are attacking me based solely on your assumption of the intent of my OP. I never knew that all the mind readers of poker converged here to chat! |

[ QUOTE ] I agree with you porcupine in everything you say here except for applauding CF. Its funny how all these trnys we see on TV whether its the WSOP, after dark or whatever where these pros are always hanging around. Helmuth, Mouth, CF or someone always shows up. Go home get a life you have been knocked out. These other players are man/woman enough to figure out what then need with their own money. We dont see Brett Favre or Tom Brady at the SB when they arent in it. We didnt see Dirk or Nash at the Finals when the Spurs won. Go home pros or get a life and do something else instead of trying to be in the spotlight and influencing others all the time. [/ QUOTE ] I'm only speaking for myself (and correct me if I am not following your train of thought), but I would ASK CF to come into the room with me if I won. Because he'd be the kind of person I'd want advising me on how this all works. Heck I'd want a few of them in there with me... [/ QUOTE ] I dont think i went as far as applauding CF but I am sure he was there only to help JY because he gained nothing by being there and he was asked by Oliver (Jerry's now "poker agent"). I will also add that CF did not at any time offer up advice that wasn't first asked for by JY Just a side thought.....Where and when did these "Agents" start popping up? are they a good thing or more like thoses lawyers that are called "ambulance chasers"? |
