I can't find the e-mail at the moment, but I wrote them and asked about this. It is my understanding that any fees are taken into consideration when you try to make a withdraw. Say the owner of the ATM charges $2.00 and paytru charges $2.50. If you're going to make a maximum withdraw of $500 then you actually need $504.50 in your account. If you have exactly $500 in your account and try to withdraw that amount then you won't be able to because of insufficient funds. ATM withdraws are usually in multiples of $20, so you'd be able to withdraw $480. If your starting balance was $500 then your remaining balance would be $15.50 ($500-$480-$2.00-$2.50).

Well if you have $500 on your card you will obviously not be able to withdraw that much, you will only be able to withdraw $500-$1.5 atm fee-paytru fee, which is $2 I think. So if you wanted $500 you would need to figure out how much in fees to wtihdraw it would be and with draw $503.50 or whatever the number would be in order to get that much you want. Now if you don't know what exactly the fees are going to be you could always with draw say $550, take out the $500 you want, then with the leftover money put right back into your stars account and not have to pay the monthly fee they charge you if you carry a balance.

uh oh... I've used the new stars debit twice now. The first no problems. The second try the card I tried to load it with declined. My fraud protection called me today and asked me "Are you trying to gamble on the internet?"

Of course I came back with, "No, I was attempting to purchase a service from a foreign vendor."

That card is issued by one of the largest banks, so wouldn't be surprised if this is just a sign of things to come.

Oh well.

So, has anyone withdrawn from Stars without seperately loading the card first? How long did it take? Did you have to email them to tell them that paytru is what you want to use as your withdrawal method? And you used it at an ATM and it worked OK?

It shows up as an option on the 2nd withdrawl screen.

I had no problems at the ATM, and the only money that was ever put on the card was from pokerstars.

Got my card this weekend and everything worked out smoothly.

It just shows up as another option on the withdrawal screen and took them ~36hrs to load the card.

The fees are the same as you were quoted when you signed up and it works on the PLUS atm network which seemed to be at every major bank's atm when I checked online.

Looks to be a great option for quick withdrawals.

Has anyone tried to use this card to deposit to other poker sites? Particularly FTP?
