Puke.
That Game 1 home loss is looking really bad right now. |

I think you have to give the Nets credit though. Everything was going in the first half and everytime the Raps tried to get it going NJ was sinking buckets left and right. Kidd is getting triple doubles in his sleep, this guy is ridiculous.
Same with Carter. |

I give the Nets complete credit, they're on another level than us right now.. but we shouldn't be losing this badly against any team in the league, the last 2 games are just embarrassing.
If Orlando can keep it respectable againt Detroit on the road, the Raps should be able to do the same against NJ.. I don't know what is going on. |

At least TJ Ford can go back to playing 5/5 at Fallsview soon enough.
But I still have hope, the Raps need to play with a sense of desperation, something they haven't been doing lately. |

[ QUOTE ]
I miss Garbo. Anyway, Marwan you are right. I don't know if it's the lack of experience, but Sam CANNOT keep [censored] with the rotation. However, it's also clear that the Raps are just playing bad. [/ QUOTE ] seriously, we can't match-up right now.. Inserting Bargnani in the 86th game of the season is not gonna get it done.. kidd, VC, RJ, Moore, Collins meant that Bargnani/Bosh had to guard RJ which was a mismatch.. In turn they were slow to rotate all day without that extra perimeter defender and Bargnani sucks on D. I think this game was even worse than Friday's defensively. As Chuck said, NBA players don't miss many open shots, doesn't really matter who you are, and we were giving them up at will tonight. |

they cant keep settling for jumpshots. gotta give bosh more touches and he needs to attack the basket. also, the raps' rebounding has been awful. couple this with the lights-out shooting of the nets and we are down 3-1. good news is that the raps can play MUCH better...heres hoping for a game seven buzzer beater.

Yeah probably. Raps are just being way outplayed at this point.

I posted this in the playoffs thread. The raps overachieved in the regular season because they were so deep, it seemed like every game Parker or Graham or Humprhies or Barnagi or Luke Jackson or etc. would step up, in the playoffs being 10 or 11 deep isn't that important as teams shorten there benches. We had a really easy schedule and assuming Pythagorean win records work in basketball we overachieved by about 6 games, while the Nets achieved at around expected value. It is also becoming painfully obvious that Mitchell isn't a good coach.

I totally agree with you Pudge. But I actually think the Nets were underseeded this year. Injuries brought down their record. Oh how different things would've been if we played Washington.
I also think missing Garbo is huge. Not huge enough to win this series - but he's an impact player. And Swirsky can take his X-Factor and shove it up his ass. |
