[ QUOTE ]
Shall we ask Miami whether it was a good idea or not to keep Ronnie Brown in the game when it was already out of hand?

[/ QUOTE ]
If Miami took Brown out of the game every time they were hopelessly behind he'd finish the season healthy but with like 200 carries.

west, what if bb wants to keep his starters fresh? Why should he allow them to get rusty just because their current opponent sucks?

also, the dolphins and rams should give up on the season because they are 0-8, have no chance at the playoffs, and don't want any of their players to suffer a career-ending injury.

Miami has lost a lot of games but rarely have they been down by 28+ at the half. I am trying to be serious here.

I don't ever want to see the Steelers risking injury when there is no real need to. Staying healthy is one huge key to success.

once again, your definition of success and the Patriots definition of success is entirely different. The Pats going 12-4 and winning a SB would be "yay, ho-hum." The Pats going 16-0, destroying every team in their path enroute to a SB win would make them legends. THAT'S why they play the game.

Ya..its not like BB hasn't won a superbowl before. If they go 15-1 and win a superbowl people will talk about what an amazing team they were and how they almost went undefeated...and they will talk about the whole scandal blah blah blah. Same old Same old

If they go undefeated and kill every opponent people will talk about how they are the greatest team to ever play the game.
the scandal will be a tiny footnote if hardly mentioned at all.

Only if you take your starters on defense out, first.

yeah and if brady breaks his hand on a QB sneak going for it on 4th down in the 4th quarter with a monster lead against some crappy team, belichick will become legendary for making one of the greatest coaching blunders of all time.

Honestly, I am to a point, but I really don't think i'm being any more ridiculous than you. These guys get paid to play football. Not letting them play football because they have more talent than another a team is asinine.

As Nochance said...risk v reward. The odds Brady is going to do that in a meaningless possession as opposed to any other possession is miniscule enough that they're going to play football for 3.5 quarters regardless of what the score is.
