i started prematurely, and didn't think about time commitments. however, i'm not a pu$$y, so i'm going to fight through.

90 hands in at .01/.02, up 0.6.
i started with .44 in my account, so i'm actually it 6.04. will play until 1000.44 or busto.

ive been discussing a potential prop bet with a few of my friends. it basically is centered around playing hu 5$ hu nlhe sng's. how many out of 100 is a fair line?

also, one of my friends believes he can win over 75/100 hu plo8 5$sng on stars.

anyhow, good luck nate!

Kemystery's generous offer is greatly appreciated by yours truly.

I have a question though,

I plan on (in true BBV style) being completely and totally wasted starting thursday.

If it's ok with everyone I'm gonna start this tonight play two days, and then not touch my account at all over the weekend.

I'll daily post my results/progress and I'll post when the challenge is on and off.

I WILL finish this in 7 days...it just might not be seven consecutive days.

If anyone has an issue with this in terms of it being cheating...maybe i'll finish it in 6 and a half days.

No problem, this was my offer because I was stoked to actually do it and wanted offer a few other guys the chance - my way of giving back- as far as the 2 days off ... I feel a true hardline BBV stance would be that you actually play on those 2 days with no bathroom breaks, putting in more hours if anything - alas, since I didnt actually specify any rules feel free take the 2 days off, maybe post a 'week long' timeline of some sort, either here or maybe a new thread (by myself or others) another thing guys - don't feel like you have to press and play 15 tables because its 1 day till the deadline and your at $350 (like I did) if you dont make 1000 you don't lose anything in fact you will just have a 200 bankroll a 40 dollar bankroll or whatever, enjoy!

Thanks so much Kemystery!

I pass the thanks on to nate, I was down to like $20 in my stars account wondering if I'd ever deposit again, now I'm playing 100r's and shortstacking 5-10 like a champ (not- but I could I guess weeeeee) even though I essentially won $984 at about 5am exactly one week from starting the challenge to actually pass 1000 - I was well on my way following nates method of 10-15 buy ins for each sng level

speaking of the sngs the 1.10 18 mans are like play money games, (I still couldn't beat them, played like 10 ha ha sample size) the $3.40s when you get that high are where I did the best, as well as the 6.50, my bread and butter were low staked PLO games buying in 10 on a 25 table and playing AAxx for big reraises preflop, and big drawing hands for flop checkraises - plus placing in a few micro mtts 3r for 50-60 here and there then taking shots at mid level big payoff mtts like the 10 r two decent cashes

BTW...starting now at 11:45 on Tuesday night...

where you guys are at now, I like the 1c-2c NL hold em and PL omaha games whatever is your best game, play ABC w/ short buy ins etc, this is BBV I better lay low on the strategery

So sick.

Everything was going well grinding along up to 5.50 at 1c/2c no limit.

Absolute maniac started pushing every hand...so I finally call with AK soooooted. he has 5 7 of spades and obv gets there.

that woulda been huge but recovered a little and am up to 4.40.

Switching to micro plo and eagerly awaiting when i have the roll for sitngos.

will keep everyone updated...

i'm not busto, so i'm not interested in the $5.

however, i too started a nate-style challenge the other day due to personal curiosity. unfortunately, the various constraints of grad school (i.e. massive amounts of reading) mean i can only put in about 1hr/day. in 4 days (so, 4.5 hours or so) i'm up from my original $2.50 to $9.05.

Sigh

First session over...

length about 5 hours,

Result -20 cents.

I guess I should be grateful as it could have been much worse. It could have been much better too though, as the toughest part of this challenge for me (a sitngo turned mtt player) will be getting enough bankroll to return to the tournament style poker that I'm best at.

Took a couple "shots" at a 1 dollar buyin sitngo and a 10 cent mtt...

Gonna stick to limit omaha hi-lo for awhile, as boring as it is I feel like it's literally more difficult to lose money than to win it. Softest game ever.

Having lots of fun with this though.

Will update tomorrow

SackUp --

Thanks.

Various people --

Good luck. I'm curious what the "proper" line on my bet would have been, and maybe your results will help me. One big advantage I had was that I was playing microstakes for more than just the microstakes themselves. I enjoyed that phase of the challenge very much, and I doubt it would have been so pleasant had I literally been playing for pennies.

Ship the mobneys!

Getting frustrated with playing limit omaha hi lo and limit holdem (not my game) I decided to take my 3.75 bankroll and spend 1.20 of it on a 2 table no limit holdem sit n go.

Ship it, first place to me and a new bankroll of 10.06

Life is good lol
