So I went up to a Seabrook NH Cardroom this Sunday and played in my first live MT Donkament. 50 dollar buyin, 50 Dollar rebuy/addon in the first hour. 70 or so players, 65% or so rebuy rate. Finished 4th, in spite of never getting AA, KK, or JJ and having QQ cracked all three times I had it. AK missed the two times I had it. TT I had six times, and I won with it 4 and made laydowns to overpairs preflop twice. Squeezed a five way limped pot with sevens in the BB. One suckout- I'm in MP3 with AQ, I raise, Button who has been coming over the top of everyone all in with hands as bad as AT pushes. He's the big stack. I mutter a bit and call, he has KK, I get AQA.... SHIP IT! Suddenly I'm in good shape and can play some real poker with other big stacks, But they don't know how, being tourney donks, so I bust a couple guys out. But the blinds creep up, I'm 4th in chips when I get to the final table. Chipcount is destiny, and though I fight valiantly, I go down fourth. That is still some sweet moneys so I'm happy.

i have about 60k hands at 25 nl (yeah that is sad and pathetic, but let's move forward).

reviewing many, many, many individual hand histories on PT last night, here is my conclusion about flop actions after you raise pf and villain calls:

if villain leads into you, especially if lead is small, they have a marginal hand or draw and will fold a huge % of time if you raise them

if villain c/r your c-bet, he has a very big hand

if villain open pushes the flop and there is a flush draw, they are on that draw a huge % of time (rarely do people open push a set)

special notes about nits: if they called your raise pf, flop comes low cards, and they c/r you, your overpair is so dead that it's not even funny. these guys are never c/r'ing you with an overpair of their own. reviewing the nit data was eye-opening. they are never ever getting all in with JJ/TT etc., and they never reraise pf with anything other than AA/KK.

anyways, that's my data.
