also,

I went to the England vs Macedonia game today with my dad. Sat right on the halfway line and 5 seats away from bryan robson.

My dad has now not seen england win a game for 7 years (since KK's 1st game in charge) and hasn't seen us even draw an away game EVER!!!

Recently, he's gone to WC 98 vs Argentina, euro's vs romania in 2000, japan to see us lose to brazil. To break his duck, he decided to see a 100% guarenteed win, so he went to the away match at N. Ireland...ofc, we lose that too!!!

IMHO it's the golden age of music right now.

You have bands like The Decemberists and The Arcade Fire and Bonnie Prince Billy who are mining traditional music for modern rock. Then you have guys like Beirut and Sufjan Stevens and Gnarls Barkley who are basically one man electronic composers using the power of computers to do really intricate original compositions that are very listenable.

I must be missing out I have not heard one song by any of those bands.

If "Crazy" got anything close to the radio play that it did over here you have at least heard of one song by one of those people...

Tho I think the rest of his album is *very* dissappointing tho I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] the live cover by Nelly Furtado she did for Radio 1's live lounge. I think Crazy is probably the most covered single of recent times. The Roots, Nelly Furtado, Bryan Adams, Billy Idol, Ray LaMontagne, The Raconteurs, Butch Walker, Mates Of State, and the Kooks have all covered this AFAIK. there's probably a few others I've missed as well.

You really can't avoid this song if you try to...

Never heard it. Of course I have 4 days worth of music on my iPod so no need to listen to the radio.

Meh, I really think the golden age of music was 40-30 years ago. I do like some of the stuff you mentioned, I just think the 60s and 70s were incredible.

I'm debating taking a shot at NL200. I'm more than rolled for it, but I'm not really sure I'm ready.
