Not much to add to the thread except that equals They got here right before you did. [/ QUOTE ] I was actually thinking last night that Jack, Sawyer and Kate = Luke, Han and Leia |

Dids,
I agree Charlie has been inconsistent. I think part of that is because he's often directed by the characters around him (Sawyer/Eko/Locke/Claire) and hasn't been a controlling factor in the plot. He seems very tied into the spiritual stuff, but not on the same level as Locke and Eko. Although I mentioned earlier that I thought we wouldn't see much supernatural, I have found the fate/spiritual/religous stuff, centering mainly around Eko and Locke, very interesting. |

1. Thank you Lost creators and writers for making a season finale that lived up to expectations. Awesome.
2. There is obviously no way that Michael and Walt actually make it back to the real world. 3. The whole "Locke and Jack are opposites who keep very important information away from each other and make very important decisions without discussing them" thing seems very contrived to me. They have also made some awful decisions. 4. I don't know why Jack was so ready to accept Michael's plan as realistic. Something weird had obviously happened to Michael, and he wanted to do stuff like Hurley instead of retired Iraqi secret agent Sayid? Jack was willing to go along with this before Sayid pulled him aside and said "WTF?!" He seems to be a pretty smart guy so I was a little confused by this. 5. I'm interested in hearing more about Eko's storyline. God or Nemi or something was telling him to press the button, he had faith that it was for a reason, and he was right. I also thought Charlie was a goner there for 10-15 seconds, I could have sworn that the magnetic explosion scene was shot to make it look like some cabinet was about to impale him. Eko was pretty clearly not going to die, but Charlie's might since he doesn't really have too much purpose or interesting stuff about him to explain. Maybe that will change and it turns out he played Rose and Bernard's kid's Barmitzvah and Rabbi was someone from the Hanso Foundation. who knows. 6. I hope that Jin lets his mafia side loose and becomes a bigger character. 7. I think the writers could have come up with a better way to get Desmond a boat than him meeting some woman at the airport and leaving 10 minutes later with a brand new boat. Not a big deal though. 8. this show pwns |

Yeah, kinda dumb 7. It wasn't some woman, it was Libby. I think this will resurface. |

2. There is obviously no way that Michael and Walt actually make it back to the real world [/ QUOTE ] Michael's mission to retrive Jack, Sawyer, Kate and Hurley was just another experiment. Henry making good on a deal was all show. Walt is too important to let go and plays a key part. His ability to make things happen will play a major role eventually. |

The questions I have, which seem like they may go unresolved for quite some time are:
1. How does a plane crash with so many survivors 2. Why did Jack see his father, Eko his brother, Kate the horse, etc. 3. What is the black smoke 4. What was that mechanical monster we saw in the first few episodes. and of course all the questions that arose in season two. Sigh. Very enjoyable episode all in all, although its pretty clear they should kill Claire off. |

one of my friends just started watching lost. he seems caught up, but everytime there is any twist in the plot he seems to make up an entirely new theory which makes little sense. if people havent realized it yet, patience is kind of the key to enjoying lost.
the guy who asked if anyone noticed if desmonds partner was painting on that door just blows my mind. that entire scene was set up specifically to convey this message, i dont know how anyone would have missed that. my hunch with the dudes at the end was that desmonds wife's father has to somehow be involved with the island, she found out his secret and is not trying to find her lost love by looking for the electromagnetic waves from the island. i dont know what the general theory is, but this seems kind of believable. the 4 toed statue was badass. rj |

All, this entire thread has 0 good posts. except for that one guy who says he quit lost. lol, see you in the fall buddy. all in all, i liked this episode. the last scene was kinda dumb, but it just showed how now they can be rescued. [/ QUOTE ] The last scene was brilliant. Kind of "WTF???" and "OMG the cavalry are coming" at the same time. |

OK, I have a question/theory. Any theories on what the "look" between Kate and Jack near the end meant? To me, it had kind of a "everything is ok, this is part of the plan" feel to it. Do you think they planned to get captured?
