It really bothers my how often they ask for money.
A comment by hyjinx in response to other comments from today's blog entry: [ QUOTE ] He won't be answering his cell. Actually it's not even in his possession...so don't call it. He will be getting phone calls through his room phone at the hospital, but those will probably be limited to a couple hours a day. Even though he can GET calls that doesn't mean he can be on the phone all day. Right now he can barely even hold it up to his ear. Sending flowers might be a good idea. Sending money as well. Or you can still send emails to . Thanks! [/ QUOTE ] |

Or you can still send emails to . Thanks! [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] This is so obviously a scam that it's unbelievable. They make one excuse after another as to why they can't provide proof that he's really in the hospital (ie. gf doesn't know which hospital he's in, he can't answer the phone), he was purportedly playing in the WSOP the day after his accident (and apparently there's a good reason for that, but not one that the gf can share with us), and they keep asking for money at every single turn. The fact that they almost certainly know that there's a good number of 2+2ers out to expose the scam doesn't seem to be deterring them in the least, though. I wonder how many people are in on it? Has anyone contacted the FBI yet? This is fraud being perpetrated across state lines. It's a federal offence. |
