Default Re: why even charge rake if you are going to give it back?

one thing that pisses me off is that there seems to be a glitch that allows ratholing (taking money off the table). And some player called Snap_dragon seems to be an expert at it. He buys in for 50BB's at the NL tables and sit out and back in with 50BBs every time he doubles up.

I sent an email to support and got the following response:

Dear Kaveh,

The way our software is design if a player leaves the table with a certain amount of funds they cannot get back to that same table with a lesser amount. That customer has a 30 minutes waiting period and after that time is passed only then will that player be allowed to sit back at that same table.

if you have any further questions please don't hestitate to let us know.

Kind regards,

I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't know about this glitch.

eh, i donno. I ask people if they are gonna play the stars tourney when I'm playing a party one, etc. same thing. I don't think a discusion of other sites is spammy if it comes up. I certainly don't feel i owe party alliegence when they go out of their way to piss me off. I sometimes wonder if they have one of those $1/day guys from india locked in a closet with the sole task of spending all day everyday studying my account trying to come up with little things to annoy the hell out of me.

For instance, I "won" a laptop in the scratch card promo in december. Got an email saying it would be delivered in 6 weeks.

cool

didnt come. waited 9 weeks and sent an email. got a repley saying sorry for the delay, it's already been shipped to you, please allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery.

ok, less cool, but ok

then 2 weeks later I get an email telling me to verify my address cause they are gonna be shipping my laptop in 2 weeks, and I should recieve it "shortly thereafter".

WTF!!!

by now I'm so pissed about it I don't even care, and feel I woulda been better of if I hadnt' won the crappy thing. How the hell can it take 4 months!!! to deliver a prize you already knew you were giving away.

i really dont think it is wrong, as long as you were to take money off the table but keep the minimum buy in that shouldnt be a problem. Thats what I always take "cash" game to mean. Chips can come and go as they please.

One of the 3/6 tables has 10 players and the pot-avg as listed in the lobby just inched up from $13 to $14.
Woo-hoo!!!!

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, there were three 3/6 tables with basically the same 10 players at each table. Every pot was either heads-up or a blind steal, with frequent isolation 3-bets to get it heads-up.

ummm...you're wrong.
this is against the rules of poker almost everywhere.

2 sites I know of have this rat-holing 'glitch'.
WPEX and Party.

Most other sites make you buy bach in for the amount you left the table with. You can't just come back and instant later with less than what you just had.

im aware that those are the rules so need to be like you are wrong because I felt this was my opinion not some super poker god's ruling. I just dont see the problem with it other than "being against the rules."

I just had a double limp-reraise.

Couple of early players limp.
I raise.
EP1 3-bets.
EP2 caps.
