[/ QUOTE ] It's not too hard to hit a ground ball to short or second base if you're trying to do that, and the hitter can see which fielder is breaking towards the bag and so usually knows which one to try. [/ QUOTE ] The ball should be on the ground to the right side for a hit and run always. And it is a little bit harder than one would think depending on the pitch location. |

Well a Cardinals' "error" led to Cleveland tying the game and eventually taking the lead...so really it was just two teams not really wanting to win but the Cardinals needed it more so the Indians went ahead and decided to let them have it...

He was leading the league in saves so he decided he needed to collect a win to make his W-L record look better...

yeah... it figures it would be something like that to get them by. Mad props for Taguchi though for running out that fly ball and getting to second.
Royals at home Braves on the road Strokeoffs on the road for 4 before the allstarbreak looks like a good time for a 7-3 or better run and to bring the iron fist back to the division |

Not sure 7-3 is going to build you much of a lead. jvs |

I hate to give AcesHigh a hard-on, but I still consider the Astros the competition. I am probably biased from the two teams winning the division all but 2 years since '96 IIRC. sorry I forgot about the Reds
