some retards limp and the only other decent player at the table raises, I 3bet AK blah blah blah. Flop A85 and he donks into the field/me, I raise, he 3 bets I 4 bet he calls. Turn 8 he donks again I raise he calls. River 8 he checks I bet he flashes 55 and mucks. Hooray for me!
I also played the dreaded 6/12 stud8 game for the first time in years. One of the old guys says hi to me, I look around the table and say "wow I haven't played this game in forever and its all the same guys" and he says "what, no one died yet?". Yeah. I did however get rolled up aces for the first time ever in a live game! So that was pretty cool. |

[ QUOTE ]
I just did what goes against every poker bone in my body and quit a game when I was a solid winner. I absolutely hate doing it because I feel like it is the perfect time to just pound on the people that think you are somehow magically endowed with lucky powers because you are winning, but I don't think my bruised and battered psyche could suffer turning another solid win into a loss as I've been doing far too often. It honestly feels dirty to leave a game in which there is a blatantly horrible player on my direct right who still has cash equivalents in front of him, but I needed to win to make myself feel better. I also hate doing it because I've been awake less than 6 hours and now have absolutely nothing to do at 2am. [/ QUOTE ] honestly contact rory and hire him as a coach |

[/ QUOTE ] I did this tonight and I don't feel bad about it, bc like you I have had multiple sessions on this swing where I started out winning only to lose alot for the session. When this happens I tend to play worse (tilt) than if I just started losing in the beginning. Also, you need any confidence you can get and you might not play optimally pf trying to protect your win, but if you go back the next day and play another session you will be playing with the confidence of a locked up win. |

[/ QUOTE ] yeah its me and i took the ol' lip ring out. So i dont know what you guys will call me now. Nice to meet ya for a second there sailboats, I thought you were a 2+2er right away but failed to ask. The commerce 20 game is AWESOME and I run so GOOOT. Up 10 racks in 4 days so far..... I dont see the pure aggression everyone is talking about though, I was expecting a CP 8/16 style game, but everyone in the 20 game is clueless and loose passive. You californian 2+2ers have it so good out here, at least at the 20/40 games. Is the 40/80 any different? I want to take a stab......... |

Yea well i think people exaggerate it sometimes, but other times it is as crazy as people say. It really varies from table to table. Oh and usually the 40 is pretty good, the big difference from 20 to 40 is they tend to be more aggressive. And ya you do run fantastic heh... calling 3 bets on the turn to hit a one-outer with your AA. I on the other hand was not running as good, but managed to win a little bit heh. Nice meeting you, i kinda figured you were 2+2 by your play and also when you said how you heard about such good action at The Commerce.

Awesome Dave. Good place to be running good. Take a 1 rack shot at the 40. Its more agg than the 20, but you will be an easy favorite.
