Israel's Attack on Lebanon and Hezbollah

One of the following is true:

1) The UN is totally ineffective;

2) The UN is helping Hezbollah in some way.


So the solution to avoiding having their positions hit, either intentionally or not, is simply to leave, since they don't need to be in harm's way if they are ineffective, and shouldn't be there if they helping one side or the other.

oh the double standards on this forum

anyways, back to my post - "israel is right. never wrong" - my point was that the pro-israeli crowd here have justifications for everything israel does. it's the classic mirror thing that happened between US-Russia in Cold War and what regularly happens in with Dems and Reps.

israel is wrong sometimes. so are arabs. it's okay to admit it. really it is. (reverse the situation and assume israel is a country of muslims and lebanon is a country of jews and hizbollah is a jewish milita etc: i don't think it would be far fetched to see this forum light up with copernicus, bluffthis, jman, et al condemning the bombing of jewish civilians in response to the kidnapping of two soldiers).

i'm getting too old for this. i'll just stay out of this forum.

That's the most spurious logic I've ever heard. That's not the case. There is no 'Jewish militia' that targets innocent civilians and who's ultimate goal is the destruction of a UN-recognized sovereign nation.
