his name is Widmore. Charles Widmore? there have been numerous Widmore products on the island. the ballon that notHenry crashed in, the pregnancy test, and something else were all Widmore products. [/ QUOTE ] I don't remember those Widmore references. Yet I recognized his name. Guess they were in my subconscience. LOST IS CONTROLLING MY BRAIN. |

also, what to make of Eko's statement that if we don't push the button, we will all die within 90 minutes? Did he see something else in the printouts? Did the episode end within 90 minutes Lost time from the EMP?

All,
this entire thread has 0 good posts. except for that one guy who says he quit lost. lol, see you in the fall buddy. all in all, i liked this episode. the last scene was kinda dumb, but it just showed how now they can be rescued. |

Any chance the Others were unwillingly brought to the island just like the Losties, OR joined Dharma but have now been forsaken/abandoned, and their goal now is escape from the island? It explains "We're the good guys," but it would mean Gale is lying to Michael. Also, Others didn't seem shocked by the "EMP", which implies knowledge of what it is, which implies that they'd WANT it to happen if they're trying to get off the island, which is weird that they wouldn't have stopped the button from being pushed long ago.
I guess I just shot down my own theory. |

this failure to push the button seemed a lot worse than desmond's system failure
maybe because there was no plane around to crash. |

[ QUOTE ] Also, Charlie's behavior was very weird at the end. Doesn't make sense that he doesn't know where Locke/Eko are, and was acting to Claire as if nothing happened in the hatch. [/ QUOTE ] Could Charlie be "infected"? [/ QUOTE ] This was my thought, although in some ways I felt like the whole "infection" thing was kinda deaded in this ep. I think it's clear that something happened to Charlie. Maybe it's just that he's in shock over seeing the two of the people with whom he was the closest (Locke, Eko) on the island die (at least in his mind). My guess it that it's something bigger. Although, Charlie's character has been [censored] with all season, and if there was anybody who I think the writers just don't write consistantly it's him. Some of the stuff makes me think less "part of the grand plan" and more "people don't know what they are doing here". |

[/ QUOTE ] Now it still has 0 posts. I think the last scene was interesting, not becuase it shows how they can be rescued, but addresses the connections between the Hanso Foundation, Widmore, and the lives of the people on the island. |
