how standard are 10BI downswings at 25NL in 25K hands? I thought that 6BI was about as much as you should loose at these stakes...

yeh the bonus goes fairly fast at ftp, i cleared 400 at 25nl pretty quick

[/ QUOTE ]

Sir, did you get rake back at Full Tilt as well? ie, when you got your bonus, did you also get rakeback at 27% on all the hands that you had played to clear the bonus?

I've calculated that I'll need to play roughly 65,000 hands at 50NL with an average rake of $0.20 to clear the $600 bonus. You need to generate $16.67 of rake to get $1 bonus, so that makes a total of $10,002 rake to clear the $600. With rakeback at 27% I'm hoping this will give me $2,700.54 on top of the bonus and any playing profits = very tidy bankroll expansion. Do these figures seem right to you - It works out at roughly 550 hands per day for the 120 days you get to clear the bonus, which means 4 tables 2 hours a day minimum.

Hi.

Don't know where else to put this but new to the forum so hello. I live in London UK and I like to poker. Been playing and studying only about 6 months intensely. After donking around and learning the hard way I'm just about to embark on a properly managed bankroll expansion mission from the ground up. I look forward to working with you all.

Welcome to uNL.

i think playing on a proper br solves half the problem of beating low stakes cash games. using uNL well can get you a long way towards solving the rest of it.

You have made me feel much better about poker, I was getting a bit worried with everyone going on about 10-15BI downswings...

Ty sir and ty Matrix for the greeting. My last bankroll went south after I took a successful shot at higher levels, and decided to stay there underolled. This was working fine for a few weeks until a bad run followed by the tilt left me busto. So this time I plan to build strategically and not jump up levels until the roll is well padded. Seems to be the way forward.
