There are fish around... but I think the NL tables are much tougher than most places I've played at. I've lost $800 today at $100NL. meh.

The rake has always rubbed me the wrong way.

When I pull up PT and see the thousands of dollars I paid Party in rake last year I can only think "I WON THAT FREAKING MONEY...."

Playing poker rake free sounds like a dream. Mediocre players will begin turning profits, very good players will see huge jumps in win rates, fish will end up donating EVERY PENNY to the poker economy, rather than the black hole of rake.

Taking the rake out of poker is like taking income taxes off of labor wages, seriously.

If they can drive up their playerbase using this strategy it's a great idea.

Running the poker room is probably very cheap for WSEX, regardless of whether it's 200 or 2,000 or 20,000 players.

If they can increase site traffice that inevitably means more sports book gambling (especially if the funds in a poker account can also be used for sports betting).

Also as others have pointed out, their long term goal might be to one day introduce a micro rake (we're gonna take .10 from every pot, etc.)

Can someone confirm if this is just full of taggy 2+2ers or do fish actually swim in this river?

[/ QUOTE ]

If it's full of 2+2ers, they are not good (me, for exampe).

Also, does anybody else just orgasm every time they see how fast the hands get dealt out?

edited for humility.

This might turn out to be just like Paypal.
When they started they promised no fees ever because they made their money off the intrest.
Then they built up their customer base and bam.
Now they got fees out the ass.

Looked decent earlier.

Less so now.

Not exactly 'loosee'.

One of the 3/6 tables has 10 players and the pot-avg as listed in the lobby just inched up from $13 to $14.
Woo-hoo!!!!
