I have to say, I don't like seeing "Gus vs Jimmy" headings on Pokernews. There's a couple of reasons for this :

1) I'd prefer both of them to go really deep into tomorrow's play, hopefully even HU for the title.

2) Gus is the only one who can REALLY damage Gobbo's stack in one hand.

So I would like for them to avoid confrontation, please. Is someone able to pass that message on to them? :P

They're over 100bbs deep. Playing a couple pots together doesn't mean he'll just go broke.

Yeah, I know, but it's easy to get caught up with a very good hand running into the nuts (witness Negreanu vs Hansen on HSP) & going busto. And Gus is a pretty tricky customer.

Anyhow, I'm sure you're right, and he won't get himself in any strife.

Jimmy "gobboyboy" Fricke is getting involved early on the final table, firmly taking the chip lead after coming over the top of joint chip leader Gus Hansen, the teenager demonstrating he's not intimated by his Hansen's feared aggression and experience.
Gus bet 100k at the pot from middle position which Jimmy pumped straight up to 300k in the cut off. Gus called, and the flop brought 3d 7d 4c. Gus checked, and Jimmy fired 400k, forcing him to lay down his hand.

what was that about gus giving him trouble? recognize.
