I don't know who Matt Flynn is, which is probably a good thing. I'm fine with that trio. |

TWP,
The way I think this should work is that first we select a three person panel. Dean has already said he'll do it in the thread. Maybe nath is another possibility? If you guys throw out a few names from people who have been following this thread, I'll as my first task decide who I think has enough integrity and intelligence to be given a vote on this. Once we've selected the group, you and Rolen then each post a summary of your case. Other tards will obviously post their thoughts as well. Once you guys have done that, the panel will maybe ask you some followup questions, then we'll vote and simple majority rule decides the bet. Here is one thing you and Rolen need to decide. Should the panel vote be based on: a) The decision is based on "beyond a reasonable doubt" one side wins. or b) 51%. Whichever side is MORE LIKELY wins. If we are not sure but think one side is 52% likely to be right, do you want that guy to win or do you want to call it a push? |

El Diablo, please contact Dean and MF to work out your process for deciding? Keep in mind that the standard for victory was two identical sources.

TWP,
I'm not selecting Matt, though he's a very trusted good friend. He's a doctor writing a book. He won't put in the required time and thought necessary for something like this. |

We were posting at the same time. Check out our last few posts and then re-post what you want to happen or if you have any questions...

TWP,
"Keep in mind that the standard for victory was two identical sources." OK, this sort of stuff we need some discussion on. I'll handle getting the panel lined up and picking a third. You and Rolen feel free to toss out some more possibles. However, what are we judging on? a) Who won the bet as initially stated? b) Who won the bet based on INTENT of bet? That will impact our vote. Let's hear from both you and Rolen re: what you think on that topic. We'll weigh the arguments on this topic just as we will elements of the bet itself. Edit: Also, related to that, any additional comments you both have to make about this: Should the panel vote be based on: a) The decision is based on "beyond a reasonable doubt" one side wins. or b) 51%. Whichever side is MORE LIKELY wins. If we are not sure but think one side is 52% likely to be right, do you want that guy to win or do you want to call it a push? |

If the panel thinks that the evidence is not strong enough to conclusively award one side the win, I have no problem calling it a tie.

[ QUOTE ]
There is no way good2cu would take the time necessary to doctor his PT stats before posting them...in fact, there is almost 0% chance he would be able to figure out how. Plus, he doesn't care at all who wins or loses some random unballer 1k bet. Yugoslav [/ QUOTE ] this is what truly makes this thread interesting good2cu might've been doctoring his results over an unballer amount. Right now, the evidence points Rolen's way IMO. |
