Why are Monday's usually the highest? Shouldn't it be Saturday or Sunday when people have the day off?

Its pretty clear that people have better things to do with their time, when they are off from work... weekends and holidays are slow... maybe there's a block of players, playing from work... or playing poker is the thing to do after work, but going out is the thing to do on weekends. fwiw... posting on 2+2 follows a very similar pattern.

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Look like Absolute just changed their bonus clearing and reward system ... will be interesting to see how this affects their numbers... things had been looking up for them...

I was just going to comment on that over here. Look forward to seeing the updates over the next few weeks.

Absolute was my favorite site, looking for a new one now.

Sciolist,

From the graph above, I think Absolute’s move was both premature and too drastic a change!

Business wise, during this period of rebalancing of the player pool, I think a small change instead of a 2X4 across the head would have done them better.

We will see though.

I'd guess posting patterns has more to do with being able to be at a computer while that the office. Playing in the office surely is much more difficult/dangerous.

I was under the impression Fri/Sat/Sun were prime time for poker, but looking at the numbers I am shocked.

Berge,

Real people have real lives and do stuff on the weekends instead of grinding out a living online in poker like a lot of us. The weekend blows and usually just results in more face time with similar types of tags you don't want at your tables.

I would love to see the same information for just American players. I'm sure it isn't possible, but just food for thought. The increase must be due to non-Americans.
