Interesting that they waited till 1.30am to announce the Cole deal was done, and Chelsea screwed over Middlesborogh in doing it as they had signed Huth but were waiting for Chelsea to sign the paperwork, who didnt as I guess they want to keep him now.

Seems the Huth deal did go through, nice reporting of the facts from the BBC.

More details on the West Ham signings.

"MSI yesterday sold its share in the pair's registration to the Hammers because FA regulations prevent player registrations being owned by anyone other than a club. MSI has secured lucrative sell-on clauses, however, meaning West Ham will have to sell either player should they receive an offer in excess of €50m (£35m) per player or match the fee themselves, with the lion's share of the profit going to MSI. For celebrating West Ham fans the one cloud on the horizon may be that the pair will spend this season in the Premiership shop window before departing to more glamorous employers."

The BBC gets nobbled in a lot of breaking news situations, because their editorial policy, owing to some historical screwups, is never to report anything as news until they have what they consider to be totally reliable confirmation of the story, so they often get "scooped" by other organisations, notably Sky; even though they actually know what the news is they are often sitting on it until it meets their "standards".

This is odd...

West Ham in takeover discussions
Breaking news
West Ham are having "exploratory discussions" over a possible takeover.

The move comes hot on the heels of the club luring Argentine pair Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to the club.

"Discussions are at an early stage and there can be no certainty that an offer for West Ham will be forthcoming," said a club statement to the Stock Exchange.

"The board also confirms that there is no contractual link between the signing of the players (Tevez and Mascherano) and the bid discussions."

More to follow.

Ambrahamovich is either poised to buy them when he feels more like it, such as next year, or is using these transfers as a way to drive up the price for his rivals. And yes I know he is not MSI but I bet anything he pulled strings on this deal.

Certainly anyone who takes them next will pay a ton more.

i think you overlooked the possibility of chelski using west ham as a feeder club for these players and he will take them in chelsea soon depending on how they fare for the hammers.

Arsenal fans, any thoughts on the Denilson signing? He is the Brazilian U-19 Captain, suppose to be dope.
