Gold is only two hands away from going broke. I think Cunningham can take this thing down. He is by far the most experienced and successful live tournament player still in it.
I saw something on ESPN a year or so ago about Cunningham. Apparently he, Negreanu, Juanda, and another big name pro whose names escapes me (Lindgren maybe?) played a lot together when they were just starting out. Both Negreanu and Juanda said that Cunningham is now the best player out of that group. The guy seems to have zero personality, though. I don't think he would be nearly as good an ambassador for the game as Raymer and Hachem have been, but I'm still rooting for him. If he can make it through this all-in donkarama, he will truly have proven himself. |

couldn't gold still have just a better ace there along with a pocket pair? i wonder how likely that is.

[ QUOTE ] So WSOP POY last year and possible ME champ this year? Not bad. [/ QUOTE ] Not to mention that he has 2 final table finishes and a bracelet just this year. [/ QUOTE ] Also, his tears cure cancer. Unfortunately, Allen Cunningham has never cried. |

How do you NOT shut it down and play super tight until the FT if you're him? [/ QUOTE ] I dunno, perhaps he doesn't want to wait for Lisandro, Prahlad, and Allen to get 10mm+ chips each from the internet qualifiers before delurking from 'super-tight' mode. [/ QUOTE ] Also, the last four times he's been played back at, he's shown.. well.. not MONSTER hands, but very very good hands to eliminate folks. Yes, he can't have that good a hand all the time, but when someone's running this hot, do you really wanna be the one who tries his luck? |

Wow, i'm sad to say it was a terrible play by Rizen.
Why? Why? Why risk over 2 million to win $600,000 against the chip leader? With ace-rag? |
