No I usually just read not post.

That's proving to have been a sensible policy. Although, to be fair, your "before you try to make a point try knowing what yout talking about" post was pure comedy gold.

Jeff Madsen has already proved twice that he does not have what it takes to be a great all-around tournament player. Sure he's probably the best ever at no-limit hold'em tournaments, but so far all he's been able to muster is a couple weak 3rd place finishes in non hold'em events.

118 Jeff Madsen 8,000

Things do not look good.

Can anyone possibly explain what is happening here? Does Jeff feel there is an advantage to playing a shortstack early? Is he trying to come from behind?

My best guess is that a player of his caliber (perhaps it's misleading to suggest that there are other players of his caliber) would get bored simply walking away with the tournament. I imagine he has let himself fall behind a bit in order to provide himself more of a "challenge."

It's for image reasons too. "The Walk-in-the-Park Kid" sounds a lot less cool than "The Comeback Kid".

As for your current standing, as others have stated, all you have shown so far is an ability to not really perform at the only time when it really matters.

el d,

did you poll the various women of leisure in vegas for this information?

I thought about that, and it's possible. But I think a guy like Madsen already realizes that his place in history is secure. He knows that he will be regarded (even by his current, short-sighted detractors) as "The Greatest." I would wager that lesser monikers, such as "The Comeback Kid," would be of little value to him.

Chan's run of WSOP Main Event finishes: 1st, 1st, 2nd, was pretty incredible.
