Albert has been out for two weeks and still leads the majors in home runs and RBI's. Hopefully he will be back in a week or two. Rolen has been playing very well since Albert went down!

Thank you,

Jim Kuhn

Rolen finally looks to be totally healthy and Carpenter is back and looking good also. Really nice stretch of games and the team has stabilized nicely after a post-Pujols swoon. Rolen being 100% is just so critical in the long term.

Encarnacion is finally coming around. After starting out around 220 his average is up near 280.

It would be nice to have Pujols for the next 9 games, but we'll see how this team reacts to playing some top level competition after taking 7 of 9 from MIL, PIT, and COL...

Dear TLR,

As mentioned previously, Mulder is getting beat like a dead horse out there. Give him a start or two off and figure out the issue. You have Reyes and Wainwright ready to start a handful of games; use them!

Was at the game tonight, just amazing to watch. Can't imagine how Reyes must feel.

Now it's time for the Cards to rebound and put the hurt stick on the Tigers

congrats to the Sox...good series

Don't expect the Cards to do much this weekend--Carp ailing and Mulder out. Pujols still getting back into the swing of things.

Wait, what's wrong with Carpenter? He's had 3 starts since coming off the DL.

14 IP, 10 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 17 K, 2 wins in his last 2 starts, wasn't exactly the best competition (@PIT, vs. COL) but it's far from "ailing." And I do'nt see the Cardinals losing 6 in a row so I expect them to win at least 1 game this weekend...with Carpenter being the best bet...

Default Re: *** Official St Louis Cardinals to the 2006 World Series Thread **

Mark Mulder will be out for awhile. According the stl.com, the St Louis Post Dispatch online site, 'an MRI on Friday found that he has been pitching with a shoulder impingement, inflammation of the rotator cuff and slight fraying of the labrum.'

Bad news for the Cardinals and Mulder as he is pitching in his 'contract year'. I would imagine his free agent value is greatly diminished.

Thank you,

Jim Kuhn
