I feel like an old man. I'm watching Simpsons season 6 and it's the "Who Shot Mr Burns?" season. I remember when this episode first aired on TV. It aired in 1995. I'm only 21, so actually being old is probably even worse.

No a flush draw was possible, I didn't have it.

I'm finding the replies to my 2 hands quite interesting, because I am pretty sure that the 33 hand was absolutely butchered and the T9 hand was absolutely perfect but everyone is replying the exact opposite. I also happened to win the 33 hand and lose the T9 hand.

Another session of 75/150 Omaha Hi/Holdem I just got back from. I did what I always do and start off big winner. Then I did what I always do after that and lose it all. Mike made an incredible comeback from stuck almost 5 racks to 1 rack winner by crippling my solid win and then mangling Hogan. I still ended up winning an embarassingly small amount.

I didn't want to post any specific hands but Crazy Mike demanded I post this one so here it is. An oldie but a goodie, my favorite 1 pair vs flopped flush matchup.

So 5 handed Hogan limps UTG, Mike completes sb, I check 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in BB

Flop T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Mike bets, I raise, Hogan coldcalls, Mike 3bets, I 4bet, Hogan folds, Mike 5 bets.

Turn 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Mike bets, I raise, he calls

River: 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
He checks, I bet, he looks at his cards really weirdly before raising. This might be a fold against him but the pot is humongous and he knows I am capable of folding a flush although it is very unlikely so I had to call. Of course I see red 89.

I'm sure everyone is very tired of reading my complaining. I'm also very tired of complaining. The solution is quite simple but I seem completely incapable of winning any significant amount ever again.

Poor starting hand selection dude.

Easy solution to this common problem. Take an earlier flight, but don't tell the poker gods.

The shock will come when you're 28. That's when the hot 21 y.o. girls at the club start thinking you're too old for them. It's all downhill from there. If you're still playing for a living at 35 and haven't had great success that's allowed you to have a family life, well, I hope that doesn't happen to you. And when you get to MY age you'd better pray that there is new technology for when you visit the urologist. You'd better pray. My next appointment is on Monday. Here's what I have a 'date' with (guess where the skinny part on the right goes and btw it's not skinny enough):

Going to Vegas next weekend for Labor Day. Probably won't be playing too seriously, since I do enough of that here. But during the day Sat/Sun, I will be at either Bellagio or Wynn playing 15/30 or 30/60. The late evenings will find me drinking it up at Imperial Palace in the 2/4 or 1/2 NL games, trying to put the whole table on tilt. Good times!!!

I'm leaving tomorrow on a cruise to the Western Caribbean and Mexico. I'll be gone until Sept. 2, so not only will the Sept. Low-Content thread start late, but I'll pass the mod duties on to the silent but deadly bobbyi for a week.

Hopefully you guys don't destroy the place in my absence.

30 and 60 limit.

I sweated a funny hand where he was villain. Hero is a 2p2er whose name I wont reveal. You will see why.

Hero opens button w/ T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

UIGEA calls out of sb

Flop:Q23r suits dont matter

UIGEA donks, hero raises, call.

Turn: T

check, bet, call.

River: A for a final board of Q23TA

UIGEA donks, hero insta-calls and UIGEA flashes 99.

Perfectly played by UIGEA?

Edited to add-hero told me that UIGEA had donked every flop where he was oop so the flop raise isnt nearly as bad as looks at first glance.
