I think all of you are missing the "big picture," and I cannot believe it hasn't been brought up before:
What is Party going to do with all of his Pary Points? |

[ QUOTE ] He's definately got some explaining to do, or he will lead a very lonely life. [/ QUOTE ] I have a feeling the people he hangs out with already do the same thing or don't have a problem with it. [/ QUOTE ] I'm sure some people he knows does the same thing, but I'm sure a lot more will look down on him for it. This being said, I don't know ZJ or his friends. I'm speaking as a respectable human being. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] People wouldn't do multiple entries if it weren't pos ev, so I'm not disputing that. I'm just saying it's not because you can "take coinflips" or because "you always have 9 outs." [/ QUOTE ] I think this is at least part of it. It's the same philosophy that a lot of good players use in the early stages of a rebuy tournament: take a lot of risks, even make -EV bets, to try to build a big stack. If you go broke, you can always rebuy. With 6 accounts, he's essentially playing with 5 rebuys when everyone else is playing a freezeout. For a good player, that has to be an advantage. [/ QUOTE ] Imagine you're playing six *separate* multi's at the same time. Why would you play differently in each than if you were only playing in one? The only difference here is that you can't possibly win 1st with each account if you are multi-accounting in one tourney. So your prize-equity is a little less than if you were playing in six separate tourneys. But early-on, I can't see how that should affect your strategy much. |

I'm not sure if many people in the MTT forum read this thread on softplaying in the stars 10/20nl game, but wow... it is just too perfect now.

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] wouldn't it be a fairly smart move on his part to issue some sort of apology? What are the odds that a well versed apology/confession would get him some sort of a reduced punishment or year ban instead of lifetime? I would think if you just lost hundreds of thousands of dollars, the last thing on your mind right now is issuing an apology here. No one's gonna rush to issue a response to such a massive accusation. I dunno if he's guilty or not, I'm not making assumptions. But I don't think it's reasonable to expect him to respond right away. No one's going to in such a circumstance, guilty or not. It'll never happen. You need to take time to think through the situation and compose your reaction. - C - [/ QUOTE ] Zee almost HAS to keep his mouth shut. Admitting it on here is the same as admitting it to Party. He knows he did this in more than one event. But he doesn't know how much Party will be able to figure out. If Party found 6 accounts of his in one tourney...well maybe that's not ALL he was doing. He could have had 10 accounts in that tourney and 17 accounts total and Party has ONLY found 6 of them so far. Not saying this is the case...but he has to keep quiet in order to try to get his money back. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, but for the most part, isn't his money already gone, irregardless of what he says or does? Or at least as far as we know? Party may cut some sort of deal with him under the table, but publicly, if Party reversed the hardline stance, the fallout would be huge. -W- |

I don't think that people play any different with 6 accounts in one tourny... why would you take more coinflips or play more aggressive than normal... more likely they just play the same MTT game they always did with one account only they have 6 chances at it... taking coinflips all the time seems to negate the point of multi-accounting which is to reduce variance...
