Pathetic loss. I dislike Garcia more and more after every start.

I think the Phils were the suckers in the Garcia deal. I don't think I was alone in thinking that Garcia for Floyd and a minor leaguer was a steal for the Phillies. Turns out, he was just damaged goods, and Chicago was just getting whatever they could for him.

I'd be pissed, but I just keep reminding myself we pulled the same stunt on the Yankees with Abreu

It could be argued quite easily that we were just getting whatever we could for Floyd...

You are upset with Mesa being back given the state of the bullpen?

Not exactly, but bringing back aging players who used to be decent is not the way to make it better. I'd much rather see them fail by taking a chance on a young kid.

our bullpen has been 10x better as of late, compared to the start of the season. but i really dont expect that to hold true as long as the same 3/4 guys pitch almost every day because no pitcher besides hamels and moyer can go deep into a game

Mesa is horrible, so yes, any rational person should be upset.

can't say that i agree with this, if you're basing it on his slow start this season.
