Wow, I finally made it to the end of this thread....I didn't think I'd ever catch up. I can't believe there are 32 pages of posts in less than 24 hours... Yikes...

Brandi, Money goes in a bank or a deposit box at a casino, not a dirty old mans pocket. Make up with step-mom very little is unforgivable between family. Finally kiss the cash goodbye chalk it up to being stupid and move on,if this is the worst thing that happens in your life you're pretty lucky. Get out of the life, its no good for you thanks for spicing up the NVG forum for a couple of months but go home and loose this URL.... Find something else to throw yourself into.

Um, I don't think that's the lesson you should have learned here. You extended trust to a person you don't even know. That's insane.

Does she really think people who have made their living reading others seriously will fall for her schemes? You're good enough to get a few handouts here and there hun, but I think you stand to earn a lot more. Try your wounded animal groupie routine with the world class chess players, perhaps they are socially inept enough to buy into your BS.

Interesting or not this thread should be locked. Whatever the truth of the matter this girl is obviously in bad shape psychologically and emotionally. Emotional threads about distress including talk of suicidal ideation and attempts are totally inappropriate and not at all helpful to the OP.

Brandi, as a psychologist I recommend you seek help. You sound very unhappy and self-destructive. Getting $12k in the post tomorrow will not help, nor will winning the next 5 WPT's and the WSOP next year, nor will getting the admiration and respect of the whole poker world.

I'd advise disabusing yourself of the notion that poker is an answer to anything that you need right now. If you were my friend I'd say to leave Vegas, quit poker for a long time, get a random job to pay the bills short term, and make getting your head straight with therapy or counselling a priority. Poker always exacerbates even the smallest of emotional difficulties,it is never a panacea, and the quick fix money in the world of gambling is no fix at all to problems.

I wish you well Brandi, I hope you feel and live better soon.

"to a poor girl"

did you ever think that was why she posted her story in the first place? So you'd pity her? [/quote}

Read a book or two before trying to figure out someone's motives...it's a little more complicated than that

For those saying that "she should have expected sex as part of the deal" don't you think if that were the case she would have chosen someone besides a creepy old dude 3x her age?

Brandi, wow this is pretty crazy stuff and I definitely feel for you in this matter. Here's something to think about though to help you get through this rough time. Remember that everthing happens for a reason and more importantly things always seem to work out in the end. Stop thinking about doing any kind of bodily harm to yourself, this really isn't your fault and you aren't the one who needs to be injured.

I was burned this year also..probably out of 20k or so and as a 27 year old that really put me in a bad spot. Stay strong and know that you do have people that believe you and are here to support you.

You want to believe the OP because you have a fantasy about "rescuing" her or someone just like her. The wants of your penises have blinded you to logic.

[/ QUOTE ]

For the last time, myself and others are not disgusted by the troll's doubt of the OP. We are all completely disgusted with the fact that he said this:

[ QUOTE ]
Can a hooker or stripper get raped? The answer is of course she can. However unlike other women to whom those terms don't apply, it might be rightly said "she asked for it".

[/ QUOTE ]

If you can't understand why, then I pity you. Again, it HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BRANDI'S STORY.

This thread is magnet for people with a lack of reading comprehension. Also, it's a great tool for adding to my ignore list.

Mods - What is the process for an appeal to have someone banned? Does the person in charge have to stumble on to it or is there a way for it to be brought to their attention?

Tuco.
