I haven't read this whole thread, so I'll just go ahead and ask my very basic question.

I went into the appropriate folder (Elements), and opened up the Cards.png file. I deleted the cards from this file, and copy and pasted one of the card mods from the first page of this thread. When I click exit, it prompts a Save, and I save it as "Cards." Another dialogue box pops up, saying something like: "Are you sure you want to replace Cards.pdd? I hit yes, and then close.

When I reopen Cards.png, the regular cards are still there.

WTF? Why can't I save it as Cards.png instead of Cards.pdd?

Thanks in advance

noob

Hi Clayton,

i think the edge got a little distorted by changing colormodes to much. I tried to work it up, and i think this may solve the 'dirty' look. I have a somewhat dark calibrated old monitor though, so please give some feedback on the result? Thanks,

Guys,

I'm having a bit of trouble getting the chips/options etc. buttons to work.

If dl'ed the mod'ed chips png's and renamed them as instructed on page two or so of this thread. However, there's still something of the old "Get Chips" line left and I can't figure out where to rename/delete that. I've browsed through all the pngs in the elements and buttons folder and didn't get it.

As of now, it looks like this...

Thanks Riina for the awesome mods

Freteloo what you have to do is make black boxes for those buttons, because the new version writes text on top of the graphics. Basically just open the original button in some image editor and fill the entire shape with black. This preserves the image's hit area while minimizing the graphic.

No prob, glad you like it

As a last attachmant, a lot of ppl asked me via pm how i made such a ring, so they perhaps could make one themselves.

I guess there must be multiple ways to Rome as always, but i constructed the ring with Maya 6.0. I build it up out of a polygon-constructed cylinder, sculpted it to my liking and imported it into a previous constructed scene i made for an officebuilding.
I did so, because i already had all the lighting set up in that scene, wich can be a lot of work, so i guess i have somewhat of a labatory to work with this way.

I took a snap-rendershot from above, and deformed it in photoshop until i had the perfect fit with the existing table from fulltilt (wich was important because i use that felt).
I flipped both vertical and horizontal to get it symmetrical, and give it a balanced look of the lighting at the inner edge of the rim.

I then transformed the file to a png with indexed coloring, to give it the Nintendo 8bit look. That makes it more 'ugly', but imo more in place with its environment.

Anywho, to give you an idea, here is an image of the actual rim you play at now.
I can't see how this ramble could have helped anyone constructing their own rim, but at least you have your answer

Hmm, I'm having a problem with the cards displaying in on the table. They are only have showing above my 'seat' and therefore are unable to be read. In your original Picutre riina the cards were 'sitting' above the seat and separated instead of slightly overlapped. How did you do that?
