I don't know at all about that. It sounds like the dealers are making a killing during the tournament, and on top of that there was a pretty large dealer surplus. Add that together and it seems that Harrah's has worked out a really generous tipout % to take from the players.

With all those expenses, I hope you make at least $67.5K a year.
So 2/3 of that would be $45K from the WSOP.
For 45 days of hard work.
$1000 a day.

But if you are making $33.7K a year, before expenses, that makes it $500 a day.

Or am I using "misleading" numbers?

I bet you with half a month of free time, you could do web design, or another job that doesn't require you to be in the same city all the time. You know, a job that requires an education and a little bit of hard work. My good friend is a fireman. He makes way less then you per hour, and works a second job. I've never seen him cry over not getting tipped by the people he saved. "Hey I saved your life, toke ?"

The very existence of the bulk of your posts is proof of your complaints. I've seen nothing in here that suggests you're happy with what you made, in the little time it took you to make it, with the easy job you're performing.

I did a little over 6 years University to get my job. And I find it gross that you would even suggest that the tip amount is not sufficient, while your job consists of throwing cards around in Las Vegas. OMG THE HORROR.

Now there are a pretty big amount of card dealers who I've met that are degenerate gamblers. So naturally I could see why they'd cry over not getting as much money as possible. Is this the case with you ? You don't seem like a degenerate to me. But it does seem like the rules of society don't apply to poker dealers:

Go to school, work a full week, get paid what you deserve. There's no charity in life, and I applaud Ferguson for telling Jerry as much...

That is fine. Just don't complain when the dealers aren't so good anymore. Note: I am not saying that this poster has complained about bad dealers, but if players (in general) want good dealers they have to be willing to pay them enough for them to forgo their other opportunities. Just as an example I could deal the WSOP if I wanted, but I don't because it isn't enough money.

This will be the last time that I will discuss anything with you sir. I very politely and thoughtfully responded to your unnecessary extra thread and did my best to answer your questions which were few and far between. I put up with your incorrect assumptions of my OP's intent and yet you still cannot agree to disagree. Fine.

I said this not intending to make everyone think that this is all I would be recieving for the main event. I could have worded this better meaning that for 11 days of dealing, this is aproxamitly what each dealer would get. I freely admit I am horrible at math unless it has to do with poker( go ahead, bash away) This is in no way meant as a whine or complaint towards my job/income and i can see how it could come across that way. Next... 
 ....I should get paid alot more 
This is a part of a response to a very rude poster that insulted me and my line of work, so I gave it right back at him. It is more of an off color rant and in no way a gripe or whine about my job/pay. And again, I can see how it could be taken that way but that was not my intent. OK....READY....SET....FLAME!

I've never made a thread complaining about dealers. I suffer the same random rubbish as everyone else. it happens. Our casinos are moving to all electronic tables. Everyone is pretty excited about that.

I even mentioned you hadn't complained about dealers, but that is a common thread here. On the same day you can see threads complaining about dealers making mistakes and one will see posts claiming that dealing is easy and anyone can do it. Right now there is a surplus of people that are willing to deal and a shortage of good dealers. I would think it is safe to say that the weaker dealers are getting some of the money that the good dealers should be getting causing some of the good dealers to go do other things (one would be amazed how many doctors, lawyers, etc I have met that work as dealers).
