wouldn't it be a fairly smart move on his part to issue some sort of apology? What are the odds that a well versed apology/confession would get him some sort of a reduced punishment or year ban instead of lifetime?
I would think if you just lost hundreds of thousands of dollars, the last thing on your mind right now is issuing an apology here. No one's gonna rush to issue a response to such a massive accusation. I dunno if he's guilty or not, I'm not making assumptions. But I don't think it's reasonable to expect him to respond right away. No one's going to in such a circumstance, guilty or not. It'll never happen. You need to take time to think through the situation and compose your reaction. - C - |

Party is really stepping up to the plate on this issue... as many have said it would be alot better if the sites would just do the investigations w/o having to be told about the cheating first... As someone who plays pretty much every 100$+ tourny with only one account I never would have stopped entering because of the multi- accounting but really feel better not having to go through more than one ZJ JJ and anyone else that gets banned...

He's definately got some explaining to do, or he will lead a very lonely life. [/ QUOTE ] I have a feeling the people he hangs out with already do the same thing or don't have a problem with it. |

So I think back to the Party Million final table. ZeeJustin shoves from the button, and gets called by the "SB" with some absurd hand like K3o, and Zee takes control of a huge stack.
Just thinking here. |

CSC,
I agree with your logic 100% about the golden eggs. I remember a while back I was planning to open a new account under someone else's name for RB purposes (closing the original account, mind you) and you made some points that made me decide not to. BUT, it really shouldn't suprise you that this happens. One of the main qualities that many very good poker players share is a deep competitive streak. It is the same in many disciplines (I see a lot of it in finance). The people who are the most successful, are more likely than the average Joe to step passed the line to get an edge. I have seen cases of 50 yr old men with great jobs, and families to worry about break laws for a profit that could never be more than 10-20% of their yearly salary. Why? I don't know. It is illogical, but I bet that many of the 'rule breakers' never would have been in the situation in the first place (meaning a worse job to begin with), if they didn't have that desire to push all of the edges. This doesn't make any of this stuff right. I just like to try to understand people's motives, and linear logic, isn't going to get us there in this case. |

He knows he did this in more than one event. But he doesn't know how much Party will be able to figure out. If Party found 6 accounts of his in one tourney...well maybe that's not ALL he was doing. He could have had 10 accounts in that tourney and 17 accounts total and Party has ONLY found 6 of them so far. Not saying this is the case...but he has to keep quiet in order to try to get his money back. |
