I guess you find these 2 plays to be average/bad Waiver 1: Josh Willingham for Gary Matthews Jr. pending until Mar 27 Waiver 4: A.J. Pierzynski for Jacque Jones pending until Mar 27 also doing a trade Brian McCann & Chris Capuano for Tadahito Iguchi & Billy Wagner I like the trade because i dont need 2 stud catchers and i am not a fan of Capuano. I also felt i needed another closer and this fills that void. Iguchi is an upgrade to the 2b i have now and will allow me to cut Brandon Phillips and get someone else. p.s. those rookies you mentioned are taken [/ QUOTE ] well, since pierzynski has no value, you'll still gain by replacing him, just not as much. jones is likely to get squeezed for playing time this year, not to mention how unlikely he is to repeat '06. as for matthews...he will disappoint. protrade pegs his true batting average last year at .262, and this was by far the best year of his career. at least he is likely to rack up PA if he bats leadoff. trade seems okay given you're forced to deal mccann anyway. no reason to hate on capuano, though. |

tx. also, to anyone else reading this, switch to an auction draft. it's sooo much more fun & better than a snake draft.

My main league doesn't draft for several more days, but I have another one going early this evening and I have basically no preparation.
It's 8 teams I believe, standard 5x5 on Yahoo. What draft rankings could I work off of given that I have pretty minimal preparation? |

[/ QUOTE ] there's going to be a limit to how much you can get out of any free set of projections, because anyone who really knows what they're doing will put a price on it. ZiPS projections are good for free ones, but translating them into rankings will require some work on your part. i endorse baseball hq and pecota projections, if you're willing to open your wallet. |

I get: Jermaine Dye Opponent gets: Rocco Baldelli Todd Helton |
