BTW, you don't have to provide any other information to get the card. No SS#, no bank account #, no utility bill, no application, no nothing. Just be a registered player. Nice versus other sites work arounds.

They make money off of the poker players. The rake taken has to be making money in a short term interest account. [/ QUOTE ] They also seed the games with promotional funds. They're paying out $75 each time aces get cracked during the promo period (24 hours a week). If a typical poker player keeps a 10K account balance (which is probably a high figure), at best a liquid MMA is going to pay maybe 5%. The interest generated will quickly get outstripped by the generous promo. WPX even runs a couple of freeroll tournies that pump another $1000+ a week into the game. Home poker is a zero sum game. Cardroom poker is a negative sum game. WPX is the only place I am aware where poker is a positive sum game. WPX is seeding these games without pulling out a nickel. It is a dream scenario for the recreational player who simply wants to play basic poker. A recreational player doesn't need three levels of software running to compete. A recreational player isn't going to find opponents who play 8 tables and have mined a million hands. A recreational player can play the same poker he finds in a card room (only faster). More money goes into these games than comes out. It is that simple. Why must so many invent these far fetched hypotheses about ulterior motives and hidden corporate benefits? Former pillars of this industry have kicked American players to the curb. Party spooked off. Pinny is gone. Neteller has your money and won't even return you emails or take your calls. WSEX has been fighting all this puritanical madness for years now. They've gone to the mat and they stood ready and willing to not only serve American customers, but have done more than the PPA or any other organization in fighting effective legal battles against the prohibitionist minded elements in the U.S. government via their Anitguan WTO case. Why all the fear and suspicion? |

Why all the fear and suspicion? [/ QUOTE ] There is no fear or suspicion. I want WPEX to make money off me and allow me to have 100% rakeback and this makes it a possibility. Although I think it is likely that wpex is currently losing a little money on the poker site, I do feel that they are making there losses small by putting the rake in some sort of short term investment. The aces promotion only pays $75 to people playing the highest fixed games. Most people playing aren't eligible because the stakes are so small or they get $25 for a slightly bigger game. They are by far my favorite site to play at and I hope they keep things the way they are for as long as possible. |

I requested a check on 1/29, have reived a few vague emails from support. I ask for a tracking # or when to expect one and no response for a few days. I call support and they give me a tracking #, get one. Tracking # shows nothing on fedex website. I call fedex and same thing, BUT they do show a package that is arriving to my address on Monday. I'm not expecting anything else so this has to be it. I'll let you know. My overall impression is that they don't quite have their check thing down yet, but are working on it.

Thanks for the quick response, and all the rakeback! |

I have still not recieved my check that I ordered on the 24th, and I have still not recieved a tracking number for it. However they have already credited me my 30$ back for being late. I just hope it arrives soon.
Also I had an issue with the aces promo when they claimed that the hand was 30minutes after the promo ended, I simply sent them the HH which clearly shows the time played and they quickly corrected their error and transferred me the 50. WPEX is doing some good things. |

They have made a similar error with me twice. It was immediately corrected when I called the support number. They reviewed hand with me real time and made the correction.
They are dealing with hundreds of hands, and mistakes can happen at the first pass. For instance, if one player goes all in with a non-ace hand and wins the main pot while a side pot also develops, the holder of the aces shows up in the HH as a winner of the sidepot. The first reviewer may read this as a win. In actuality, you'll get paid on review. |
