i don't think curtains can play anything but Na3 at some point or he loses the a pawn. i'm not sure who is more advantages in that particular situation, but it is the only move i see.

You don't understand the position then.
It forces him to move his Q, for a third time in 9 moves, to a worse square.
b4 is protected by our bishop, our N is not hanging. It threatens winning material. It can also be easily defended by ...a5 or Q-b6/a5 later if we so desire.
He will defend by developing his N to Na3, but a3 is a bad square to have his knight on, generally speaking.
We can slow down his castling kingside, or even delay it for several moves.
By following up with Bf5, we attack his Rook and King indirectly, and give ourselves more tempo. We can add pressure with Qc7 down the c-file. Then our Q-side is developed, and pressure can be added further with Rc8/b8. Finally we develop the K-bishop and castle when we know the right diagonal for it.

There's no reason to think that e7 is the right square for the Bishop as of yet. That move does nothing for now.
You need to have a coherent plan to win a chess game v an IM or any good player, you can't just majority-vote every move -- you'll wind up with no plan or 3 plans.

He moves Q to Qb3, we move Bf5. He cannot reply a3 without losing the rook. His Nf3 is good so he will seek to develop Na3, mostly having finished his development, followed by castling if he can do so down the road.
Also, with the Bishop at f5 we can even move that to e4 attacking the fianchetto diagonal and exchanging his bishop if he plays Nd4. Actually, he'll have to play f3 since his bishop is unprotected and he won't want to castle K-side after a B-exchange. It will be a evenly matched positioin and we'll have prevented him from castling. Good for us.

What is our response to:

8. ... Nb4
9. Qb3 Bf5
10. Nd4

Now he's got the c2 square guarded twice, and our bishop is under attack and we don't want to trade bishop for knight here. Isn't

10. ... Be4 (offering a trade)

met by

11. f3

And any other bishop move is just retreating and moving the same piece twice?

I just noticed there are 6 votes for Be7 - is this not the worst move availabe? It's a waste of a move just so you can castle ...

Are you sure this thread isn't getting trolled by all of curtains gimmick accounts?

(Also, I really like Nb4 or whatever it was - and with all of the B options, you should have at least included the Qax move that was being discussed)
