Wow. Awesome stuff. Can't wait for the next season now. Couple of points.
First point. People seem to be confused about the magnet in the hatch. There is a big electromagnet that gets increasingly charged (and thus more magnetic) until it reaches a critical point and then releases a huge electromagnetic pulse (EMP). The EMP is what crashed the survivors plane, not "being pulled by the magnet". I mean, come on people. No one can survive in a magnetic field strong enough to drag a plane a few miles. If the plane got pulled in by the magnet there would be no one alive on the island, whereas the EMP idea makes a lot of sense. It also accounts for the white flash that everyone on the island saw when the timer ran down. Second point. The Russian guys at the end who were sitting there observing waiting for a big electromagnetic event. It seems that they are trying to locate the island. If this is the case then the purpose of the button is to prevent people from being able to find the island. The button must get pressed otherwise a huge EMP is emitted which can allow people "outside" to find the otherwise shielded island. Great stuff anyway, can't wait for more. |

Did not anyone notice in the Desmond flashback in the hatch, when he was talking to his partner, that the guy was writing the glow in the dark paint on the blast door? He wrote all the stuff Locke saw while trapped underneath the door. [/ QUOTE ] 80% this is a joke 20% you are legally fucktarded |

Just to point out, travelling due east at the south pole would keep the boat moving in circles. This may have been the best episode of any show I've ever seen. I haven't blinked for 90 minutes. [/ QUOTE ] Due to the spherical natrure of the Earth, travelling in any direction for long enough will have you going in circles. |

Both J.J Abrahms and C Cuse have confirmed that LOS's final season will be Season 7. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think this is entirely his call. |

[ QUOTE ] I'm so sick of all the whiny fcucks who complain about the show this season compared to last season. Its the same [censored] thing. Seven seasons can easily work if the writers already have seasonal arcs mapped out for each year which I'd assume they do. [/ QUOTE ] Exaclty [ QUOTE ] What was with Charlies really wierd faces at the end with Claire? [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Yes and no. I agree that the whiny [censored] about season 1 vs 2 suck, as both these seasons are awesome. However, I do not believe the show can maintain its quality and fan interest over such a long period of time. I don't know that it's ever been done. I think after a certain period of time/number of twists, one just tires of the cahracters and the way the plot unfolds. This could explain why I'm just not thrilled with 24 anymore (compared to seasons 1 and 2) even though I feel like this season was the third best. HOwever, people who have not watched all the seasons of 24, are not sick of seeing the same things, and loved this season like crazy. |

It's hard to make this post without talking for about 30 minutes, as I've done with several people already, but I'll try.
The show was great, but I was a little disappointed with the finale. Here's why: 1. IMO, this was probably the third best episode of the season. Going into it I was expecting to see the best episode by far. I was expecting the show to "take it to the next level," and for me it didn't. 2. The Answered old questions to asked new questions ratio was a little out of wack. Not enough questions answered/issues resolved. -Michael/Walt - resolved? Well kind of... -The only questions they answered were the ones they said they would. There was no truely eye-opening/world shocking revelations. 3. The ending was much less impactful than it could have been because it involved charcters we don't really have an emotional attachment with. For example, if it turned out it was Walt who was having the island monitored for EMP releases or whatever, we would've ben like "OMGOMGOMGOMGWTFBBQ" because we had a set of expecations about who Walt was, and it would've been significantly altered. The fact that some random wealthy woman who we're just meeting for the first time is the one who's knowledgable (or at least monitoring in a limited campacity) the island, it just isn't so crazy. We knew someone probably was. |

Desmond traveled the same direction on the compass for 5 days....a compass is worthless when you're closer to a magnet more powerful than the North pole. [/ QUOTE ] So what's going to happen to Michael when he follows a 325 compass heading? |
