So far every time I ask for AIM/Yahoo that is the end of the conversation, even if we exchanged many e-mails previously. It could just be small sample size, but it seems like women my age are more reluctant to take things beyond e-mail so quickly.

For example, I got this message a couple of weeks ago:

Body: i think ur cute and would love to chat
if u feel the same way ... email me back =)

We exchanged a couple of e-mails and then, just after I ask if she has AIM/yahoo and wants to chat that way, she stopped replying. I think she must have sent the same message out to a bunch of guys, because I just looked and her profile no longer says "single" but now says "In a Relationship". She also had a couple of blog entries that make it seem like she is on a single-minded mission to find a serious BF, so it's probably for the best.

One that I am talking to now, I can't figure out what she wants. I offered to meet her, but she ignored that. We'd exchanged quite a few e-mails before and after, and last week I gave her my AIM. Nothing yet, but she has a few times gone almost a week without replying. I did just catch her in a small lie on her profile, but she doesn't know that yet. She might be hiding something larger too, who knows.
